Hello, I am looking at external hard drives to use on my PS4. I have a lot of movies and I currently use Plex Media Server to stream them to my PS4. I have problems with the wireless connection so I would like to buy a HD to plug into my PS4. I have tried using a 8 GB USB Drive but it says there is no playable media. I tried using a MKV file which should play on the PS4 but it still doesn't work. With Plex, any type of movie would play. So what external hard drive should I buy? I was looking at a Western Digital 1TB. I want to make sure I get one that will work with PS4. What should I name the folders so my PS4 will recognize it? Will any movie format work? Please respond. PS4 doesn't support all the formats the PS3 does, if I remember correctly, so that's why you're getting those errors. Highly doubt the drive would be responsible for the problem.
