still creating batches, just now moving on to the syswow64 folder. i believe i've removed as much as i can from my system32 folder.
small update... 11,514 files removed = reduction in size 1.4gb. this is from a already pre-reduced image. X2 (x2 being shrunk twice) my wim is still around 3gb but my installed os is greatly reduced from a fresh untouched install. currently my windows folder sits @ 10gb. still deleting to be done I won't upload any revised batches till i'm satisfied with what works and what doesn't. still it's becoming quite a tidy installation, very easy to spot added files now from installations of apps, drivers etc. even started removing files from intel igp and nvidia driver installations to see what is really needed. to give you an idea, i can still game, web browse, email, install apps & games, listen to music, watch videos and so on... just don't expect all your microsoft stuff to work like wmp, ie, office because i've ditched them all.
still working on it, hit a snag, on my laptop something i deleted broke optimus switching resulting in a crash when launching certain dx10 games... still trying to find which files i still need for that...they have to be windows files as i have narrowed it down to non intel or nvidia files missing.
No, you will. Embedded Industry pro had appx, telemetry, etc. But unlike 10 you can remove mostly everything and still have a functioning updateable system.
Thanks to both of you. What would be missing/ not work in Embedded? Esp if run in a light VM (network connected)? I need to use this VM purely for a single business app - hence wanting to slim down. Pointers / links/ how tos? Please.
