this msg is for NoJuan999.. unfortunately i cannot PM so im hoping to contact you this way.. i downloaded awardtool 1.47 and the latest bios for my m3n-ht mobo (3106).. im currently using the 2602 bios i found on the net with a dell slic and everything is working fine.. but i need to update the bios to 3106 in order to install a 6core proc on this mobo.. but want to make sure eveything is fine before i order it.. i see you did the 3002 bios a while back. I want to do it myself but never done it before.. is there anything i need to know? is it as simple as loading the original bios.. selecting the asus slic and slp and hitting go? what about the method? it seems the older slic bios's for it used the pubkey method ( my current bios used the pubkey method).. but on the 3002 you did you used the ISA method. is there a way to verify that the bios is good before i flash it? thanks
I used ISA Method because the Pubkey method didn't work on the 2904 or 3002 Bios Revisions and ISA did. Just open the Bios with the Award tool choose SLIC and ISA Method and click on GO !
I have a GX280 - bios A08, no SLIC .1 ver available. Don't suppose you would be kind enough to mod this one? Many thanks
thanks NoJuan999.. my mobo is now updated to bios 3106.. only thing i can say is anyone using the M3N-HT mobo DO NOT use the EasyFlash in the bios to update.. luckily it did not brick the mobo but it would not detect the ram.. it knew it was there because i got no beep errors but the bios was showing 0mb of ram installed.. even expressgate was saying that the installation was incomplete.. so i setup a bootable usb stick with my netbook and booted to dos and flashed using AWDFLASH and everything is good to go. All ram detected and expressgate working as it should. I have flashed it and is working 100%. Seems i dont have enough posts to post links so i cannot put this up for the masses... i tried... i already uploaded it to the web so let me know if u need the link.. ill try to get it to you somehow!
@ erkboi, Don't worry about it. I did an ISA Mod after you asked about it so I'll post it later in this thread. Thanks for the confirmation and Flash details , they will definitely help others.
