I was going to reply to the last post from etherealbyte yesterday about the loader working with his P67 chipset assuming it had UEFI, and he's saying it worked?

Can we still ask questions to other posters in this new sub forum or will we have to PM each other instead?

Your question is about the loader working on certain hardware so of course that's allowed ;) We're simply trying to cut back on the random off topic posts that don't have anything to do with the loader or hardware which the loader can run on.

If I had to take a guess at your question though I'd say it's because he's running it in hybrid mode :D

Daz, has it been officially confirmed that previous problems in iMacs with 2Tb disks are now solved, or is that just an educated guess?

The new loader is supposed to be able to understand GPT disks but I don't think it yet understands HFS. My hope is that since it can now understand GPT that it can see the Windows partition towards the end of the drive but that's yet to be confirmed.

    Hi Daz,

The previous Windows 7 loader has been archived. It is now split into 2 threads now. One is loader support & chat and the other is Windows loader current released info? Is that all?

    @ sofatiger51
    That's correct.

The plan is that with this thread people with issues should post an MGADiag report if they can't activate their systems and with the Q&A thread I'm going to be putting pictures and information showing what to do when you're having problems. So this basically makes all of the information much easier to locate and it's easier for me to maintain :)

First of all, congratulations Daz and the WL Team for the success of the tool ;)

I just wanted to give a little feedback about the Common questions and answers section.

I think it would be better that the Q&A section was placed after the Mirror section (so the mirror of the WATFix is more "visible" to the user), and also to don't use the CODE tags for the questions, it makes it a boring to death lecture, even to me that I know that I have to search before ask, it makes me feel bored to find an answer in that huge chunk of unformated text (that's another reason to put the Q&A after the Mirror)

Of course, all of this is from an user point of view. Hope this helps :)

Now this web site and the thread have become much more important than before - then Microsoft can intervene to prevent the spread of all the news on Windows 7?

The work of Daz is a great job very important for people.......and for Microsoft?

I really don't see why the new sub-forums would make it easier for Microsoft to work anything out.

    booting problems

    Hi Daz,

First congrats on getting your own sub-forum. My problem is that my windows is not booting after the Loader (it was the previous version, it's been a while). I am actually using Ubuntu on a separate hard disk and my Windows is installed in two hard disks in a Raid config. The main problem is, my cd-rom isn't working for quite some time now, and I was wondering if I can repair Windows in Ubuntu, or if I can create a USB disk? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the great software.

There's no need to "assume" such a thing. It's documented. Read the relevant message.

That key is retial but if he's not actually got the loader installed then he should ignore the existing SLIC. If ignoring the SLIC fails he should also select to use the legacy mode
