Create a .txt file and name it Vopt9reg.txt. Put put the license data in the text file and put that text file in the Golden Bow folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Golden Bow\Vopt 9

That makes more sense. I, too, read it to mean that you used it on your SSDs....

 

An article at Neowin says it is compatible with Win 8 and Win 10, both 32 and 64bit versions. The links for download point back to the now defunct Goldenbow website, so ymmv - be sure to make a backup image first before trying if you are unsure.

@Joe C It's a good thing that you edited your post.This way there's no confusion.Most SSD users know it only can be trimmed.Thanks.

 

A lot of peeps already know that you should not defrag a SSD but obviously I had to make that very clear to those with lesser understanding

 

Some defrag programs has a feature called "TRIM" which works similar to original defrag but suited for SSD

 

TRIM doesn't defrag, it just tells the SSD which blocks are empty and can be wiped

SSDs are fast enough that fragmented or not it makes little to no difference in access times

 

You shouldn't need a third party to support trim because Trim is natively supported starting from Windows 7 and up.
