Install ie7-windowsxp-kb2879017-x86-enu_6841d945d35c1d7b2de3535e28093cac887fb59c.exe & reboot. 4. Windows Update no longer offer KB2879017 because it knows I manually installed it already. 5. Install ie7-windowsxp-kb3148198-x86-embedded-enu_254750ce40d33a8a4985de8339d8e66df6861f19.exe & reboot. 6. Windows Update no longer offer KB3148198 because it knows I manually installed it already. 7. Install IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe & reboot 8. Now svchost.exe will runs 100% CPU Process Explorer discloses the following: svchost.exe : 100.00% CPU Command Line : C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs wuauclt.exe Command Line : "C:\Windows\system32\wuauclt.exe" /RunStoreAsComServer Local\[584]SUSDS32b1163dfe62b445b34aefd417bdfa6b What should I do next to solve this?
9. Install ie8-windowsxp-kb3203621-x86-embedded-enu_4bb8d54d9e0509e9dc96426f9c27e8d984b49df9.exe & reboot 10. Notice there were 2 wuauclt.exe under svchost.exe, after some minutes, only 1 wuauclt.exe remained, 11. CPU back to 0%
