Please investigating into the matter with drivers being installed via Windows Updates because with the old tool you could be allowed to stop it but it seems MS have put in some extra measures to still be able to install these drivers over the latest ones with outdated ones what are really messing up the system ..
OneDrive removal Problem I wanted to report a problem I found with the OneDrive removal tool. Once removed OneDrive and install AdobeCreative Cloud 2017 error msv120.dll missing or damaged. I have performed several tests without using the removal tool I had no error. Investigating more deeply I noticed in particular that eliminating the batch script line (line 1708) rd "%Windir%\SysWOW64" /Q /S > NUL 2>&1 resolves the Case Study. Still I do not understand why delete the system folder "SysWOW64" Thank you
Would call this a SHOW-STOPPER-BUG! Fortunately admin elevation won't let you do that much harm. Nervertheless the issue needs to be adressed fastly .
Are there any tweaks that could help restore the native Windows 10 Start Menu Style? I did some major tweaking and even though I use Start10 instead of Windows Start style, I would still prefer to be functional. As of right now its just a blank gray popup with nothing on it and no ability to change anything.
I use Classic Shell's Start Menu to replace Windows 8.x/10 menus, it includes a shortcut to the original Windows 10 Start Menu at the top so it's always available if you need it. Start menu style: "Classic with 2 columns", Skin: Aero, Special Items: open Control Panel with Categories view, Controls: Right-Click opens Win-X Menu (Shift + Right-Click for settings).
Start10 has a similar feature, but I am saying my native menu is complete gone now that I uninstalled practically everything Store-related, so its no longer an issue. It used to just be unresponsive, but since I went all legacy (no Store), I became content .
this 4.0 version seems to be less useful than the 3.5 with these features removed. Any plan on bringing them back Yasser ?
A nice tool you got here. Those UI Tweaks are fun. I would give a warning when you select 8. Speed Up PC Performance, because it disables a lot services, and I really hope I didn't need them! Can you make it clear what option #3 does? It downloads and runs UpdaterDisabler.exe but what does that do?
And here are my facts: I used your toggle tweaker to "Speed up PC Performance" which disabled all those services. I couldn't get an internet connection on wifi anymore, "windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings". I changed all of your desabled services to run on demand, and all of a sudden my wifi can easily connect to the internet.
Try re-disabling all those services and only leaving WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service on Auto.
Just reporting that removing Cortana or IE or MS Edge using this tool gets rid of A LOT of SysWOW64 files, including DirectX files, my audio drivers, my Razer drivers, VC++ files, etc. DO NOT USE THIS TOOL TO CLEAN UP ANY SYSTEM FILES!
Firstly, thank you for this project. This is make functional to W10. Definitely is "sine qua non". I upgraded to Windows 15063 from Windows 14393.953. Toggle Tweaker v4.0 can't removed the Cortana. SearchUI.exe still works. Fortunately TT v3.5 can removed Cortana(SearchUI.exe). A suggestion: Code: :: Apply "List" view to All Folders reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams /v Settings /t REG_BINARY ^ /d 08000000030000000000000000777E137335CF11AE6908002B2E1262040000001000000043000000 /f
Hey! I converted my install to LTSB as I don't need Cortana and all that bulls**t, but I noticed my search option (in Start menu) is now gone too. I need that back, what do I do? Sorry for noobish question.
I used the Windows 10 Tweaker to uninstall Cortana, but i regress, since the search function was very important to me. It can't be restored. I got the Cortana folder from another PC and pasted into: C:\Windows\SystemApps\ and used the command prompt to start the WSearch auto, but i doesn't work... I'm desperate now, is there a way to make Cortana and Search run again? I beg for help! Thanks in advance >.<
When you remove Cortana, SearchUI is removed also. Use a replacement search tool. I recommend Everything Search. voidtools dot com
I was able to fix this, download the iso for the version you currently have (I have w10 x64 lastest version, so I downloaded iso for that) mount the iso and run the setup.exe like you would when re/installing, you'll be able to keep files and apps... Should've done this sooner because I kept looking for a way to just restore Cortana, cheers.
