    Hello all,

I am currently looking for an svf or xdelta patch file to convert one of the ISO's I currently have to the RTM of Windows 95 Upgrade.

Please see later post for SHA1's of my current collection.

Anyone have an svf or xdelta for this that they're willing to share?

    Thanks in advance!

You need to tell us SHA1 of what you already have.

Sorry, forgot to include that bit.

    I currently have:

    285298256C8D406A83FF3C45481CBF2099202C46 *en_win95.iso
    9F28E89AEC4DD694F1BB782CA0EC949987902139 *en_win95a_osr1.iso
    6EA283309743D67713EB6056171763B527F7EC32 *en_win95b_osr21_plus
    97F66E77445CD4B1AC55508C36D0FDBC17F17F25 *en_win95c_osr25

Since I have posted I found what I was looking for. However, I am missing RTM Upgrade. I am going to update original post.

    Yay!

SVF preferred but either will work. :)

You have them all, huh? I'm still on the hunt for OSR2, the companion disc, and Upgrade. That (companion disc) was only released as OSR2? I can't really remember, it's been so long. Am having a hard time finding legit versions of the ones I listed, might have to resort to an eBay hunt.

Am opened for anyone's contributions, if they're willing to donate.

    I found the following:

    Code:
    78E8B8E9F84DCCBE02EA9C6B4DEC1C229D1C7D03 *en_win95b_osr2_plus.iso
    F9D316FA8EBE0DFCB61AB86C035EDD5C0821F505 *en_win95b_osr2_usb.iso

They seem to be pretty legit. Anyone familiar with the hashes to know for sure?

    Code:
    en_win95b_osr2_plus.iso - May be from disc "0796 Part No. 000-45236 - OSR2 with Plus!"
en_win95b_osr2_usb.iso - May be from disc "0197 Part No. 000-59944 - OSR2 with USB Supplement"

They maybe already in my list - SHA's might not match if yours are overdumped. Mine all have padding removed,

eg I suspect that en_win95b_osr2.1_plus.iso in mine is your en_win95b_osr2_plus.iso

You may want to look at mounting the ISO's and using UltraISO to re-dump them to new ISO's without padding. There is a guide on MDL somewhere.

The companion disc is just an alternative version of OSR2 with a few files in different place. Not sure why it was produced vs the original OSR2.

Which ones off my list do you want? and which ones off my list do you have for me to use as a source for the SVF?

Do you know why OSR1 doesn't appear to have been made with CDIMAGE? Was the ISO not made by MS?

    ---

    It actually looks like
    Code:
    9F28E89AEC4DD694F1BB782CA0EC949987902139
is not OSR1 but OEM of 95a/SP1. Which is from disc "0196 Part No. 000-27722". As it has timestamp of 1995-12-31 09:50:00 for files in WIN95 folder.

OSR1 would be from disc "0196 Part No. 000-37080" and have timestamp of 1996-02-02 09:51:00.

Does anyone have an actual OSR1 disc?

    It should have the following:
    Code:
    - Timestamps of 1996-02-02 09:51:00
    - CD Face 0196 Part No. 000-37080

    Hey Threat

could you post a SVF for

    File: en_win95b_osr2.1.iso --------------------------------------------> File: en_win95b_osr2.1_plus.iso
    CRC-32: 7ef3aa12 CRC-32: 76def2d4

would be nice to get the version with plus in one disc. I have en_win95b_osr2.1.iso SHA-1: babf2583bcee6aa6c42e37b6f59cd17393383e14 as my starting point.

    Thanks in advance

could someone please create an SVF for:

    Code:

I have the ISOs below in my shared folder if anyone wants them (1214 as source, others as SVF). I'll add the ones above too when I have EN_WIN95.ISO as source.

    @ johnye_pt
there is a reason why we stop sharing links public for
win95 win98 winME win2000 files on MDL Bord.
ther are realy to much idiots on MDL ( as far i remember OZ, LostED and/or Threat ) wher insulted coz they dont share some files public
PaulDesmond close his torrent box for similar reasons

At the end of the day, all get what they deserve

you can get patches privat without the permissin to share the files public
send me PM if you accept

    EDIT:
The administrators are not interested to do something against this MDL Member
The 'Report Post' button is really superfluous - nothing happens

I understand your point of view, I just don't understand why you don't want me to share. I don't mind sharing a folder as a way to keep beggars and leechers at bay, and (hopefully) focus the forum on more relevant subjects. When I had nothing, I had to leech just like everyone else, so now I share to "atone for my sins" and to help the community. When someone gets to the point where it has practically everything, won't everyone else look like a beggar and/or leecher?

Offtopic aside, here's a resumed discussion I found on another forum about the Windows 95 / 95A / OSR1.x / SP1 subject, and the opinions about what versions are what. Also there were dead links (unfortunately) for a Windows 95 RTM ISO, a 95a (not OSR1) ISO and a 95 SP1 ISO, and no hashes whatsoever :/

    (user1) W95 RTM
(user1) W95a -> does not show an 'A' on system properties, only difference to the RTM is a removed PKZIP.EXE from the Win95 folder on the disc, probably due to copyright/license issues
    (user1) W95a SP1 -> RTM with installed SP1, is identical to OSR1
(user1) W95a OSR1 -> RTM with Internet Explorer 2, shows an 'A' on system properties

(user2) W95 OSR 1.0 build 950, file dates on CD are july 95, states itself as 95, without the "A"
(user2) W95a OSR 1.5 build 950, file dates on CD are jan 96
    (user2) Installing SP1 on OSR1.0 makes it report as OSR1.5 / W95a

    (user3) W95 RTM, shows 4.00.950 and s/n xxx-xxxxxxx. No IE.
    (user3) W95 OSR1 (so-called 'A'), shows 4.00.950 and s/n xxx-OEM-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx. IE2.
    (user3) W95 RTM / OSR1 with SP1, shows 4.00.950a, SP1 can be installed on both RTM and OSR1 releases.

Does anyone know anything about an ISO with pkzip.exe included? How do the versions above relate to the known SHA1?

EDIT: I just noticed I have an ISO which I thought was the same as EN_WIN95.ISO, unfortunately it was rebuilt with cdimage 2.47 and made bootable... but the contents are exactly the same, except for an extra file WIN95\pkzip.exe and a few differences on ADMIN\RESKIT\SAMPLES\SCRIPTS\DEFAULT.INF! So it seems there are 2 "original" versions of Windows 95!
