Sorry for putting up this thread... but the obvious ones have too much information and the real question feels unanswered to me. Is there way to download creators update 1703 as a seprate .msu and then slipstream it to LTSB 2016 ISO/WIM ? Pls give links and resources that may be helpful. sorry again for not able to find this through the search.
Though creators update is called "update" it's not an update but a full upgrade. What is the purpose of installing LTSB editions and next want to do feature upgrades? LTSB is meant for specialized hardware which doesn't want to get feature upgrades/updates.
well, I do know of that what LTSB stands for. I was actually trying to check for any possible "hacks" to allow patching the update (if any) into LTSB. Thanks for the clearing up anyways.
If you're interested in those Feature Updates, the way would be Enterprise non-LTSB, no need for 'hacking' anything.
If you patch LTSB to the creator's update you will lose LTSB and just have a regular enterprise install. Plus it will probably break your activation.
hmm...but someone here already see something about KB3150513 (again) maybe I'm wrong but this is very suspect for me because myself receive this update but I don't install of course, still see which O.S. I'm running now on my sig
my sentiments exactly. Isn't that what LTSB is for - to escape feature updates? plus the LTSB editions of Windows 10 get a total of 10 years of support from Microsoft (5+5, 1st 5 for mainstream support then the last 5 for extended support). also LTSB doesn't come with Microsoft Edge, Cortana, etc. they're the dumbed-down versions of Win10.
This thread would be more productive if you were discussing method to turn non-ltsb enterprise version into LTSB clone. (I.E.: No store, apps, different system settings in registry, etc)
