When why does DISM RestoreHealth fail when this package is present on the PC. It is THE cause of DISM failure and everyone with the official build of Creator's Update, even after updates, is unable to use DISM RestoreHealth. Its been all over different forums and then someone checked out some log and found that there is a discrepancy between what gets installed and what the WIM image contains. That discrepancy was the TestRoot package (2 packages/entries actually) and its removal from the already-installed OS fixes DISM RestoreHealth error (that if they haven't already messed something up by then that would also cause the same error...). Given that, it makes sense to have removal of that package as an easily-electable option rather than a manual option, but I know you're limited. What I would advise is to remove System Restore from the list of options and replace it with TestRoot. System Restore is a tiny package that some basic software relies on (especially the kind that tweaks the OS!) and some will not even launch without it present, yet will launch if present + disabled. That would be like killing 2 birds with one shot. You remove System Restore, which will result in fewer issues, complaints, headaches, and you put TestRoot instead, which will fix DISM RestoreHealth.

Run this command after you install, or if you have mounted wim simply mount the registry, and change the value.
    Code:
    Reg.exe add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "AllowCortana" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f

I don't know why its giving out the error coz i haven't used the DISM /RestoreHealth so far and I need to know what does that package is for, is it related to the Insider Builds or something else.

I will see whether I can make any space for the TestRoot Removal Menu But I won't be replacing the System Restore Menu as I need it to remove that feature coz I have always been using my System with the System Restore feature removed, be it on Windows XP/7/8.1/10 OS.

You can also add the below to disable web search.

    Code:
    reg add KLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "DisableWebSearch" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
Edit: Nvm, it is not needed, disabling Cortana disables Web Search too.

Removed? I thought you want to disable Cortana so you can continue using Search. If you want to remove Cortana you can do so by using MSMG toolkit.

    Ok, thanks.
But if I remove it won't Search be unusable? Also, in my native language Cortana is disabled by default since it isn't available in it so it doesn't matter if I do that or not, anyway.

The only thing I know you could do is download and install Classic Shell, brings back old school start menu looks. I only install the start menu and the updater and nothing else. By bringing back the old start menus it allows one to search again by pressing Tab and then typing what you want to search for.

So, there's no way I can remove (and not disable) Cortana for good without breaking Search?

At least for the Start Menu you can say Cortana is the Search function of it now. When purged, this ability is lost. The Explorer Search and 3rd party Start menus still work.

No there no way. If you want Cortana removed then you have to use Classic Shell which is for free or StartIsBack++ to have a search function.

Ok, thanks. It's stupid that I have to have Cortana when it isn't available in my language and it is disabled by default, so I can't use it (in my native language) anyway...

I can't remove the normal way the Xbox app from Start Menu and Apps & Features even with CCleaner. I found a weird way of doing that but still with problems because if I write its name in Start Menu it still appears. I installed all the components from Office Professional Plus 2016 and with CCleaner and a PowerShell command, I think (it's strange the fact that I need to use both to remove it from both places), I could remove it from both places (but like I said before it still appears if I write its name in Start Menu, which is weird). Again, it's stupid that I have to install all the components from Office Professional Plus 2016 (like the OneDrive and Skype for Business, among others, when I removed the OneDrive and Skype apps) to be able to remove the Xbox app (I don't know why is this app related with Office). Even worse, what if I didn't want to install Office in first place?

Actually a part of the Xbox App component are required for proper Store operation that's why I have merged the Store and Xbox components for removal.

If you want to Xbox and also need to store function then can use manually remove just the Xbox app from the image leaving it's dependent components by using the below command from the ToolKit folder using a command prompt with administrator privilege.

    Code:
    Dism /Image:mount\install /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:Microsoft.XboxApp_2017.113.1250.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
