    hmmm...

    Thanks for replying helpfully Jackmonter5.
    The vSphere Hypervisor esxi pretty much seems like it does what I asked about.

    I looked further into it and find that it is not a very simple solution & its info seems rather vague.
    Perhaps there are other ways to do this or a simple procedure for getting that, but I have not found such info ??

    I updated the OP after looking around some more and couldn't change the title to match, so I'm starting a new thread with the improved title.

    Thanks.

    I would say 8GB Ram or more depending how many memory ram each VM guest OS you going run.. and Big hard drive like 500GB or more.. fastest CPU with muilti cores.. 4 cores or more is recommended.. Also, Check your hardware see if your bios Support Virtual VD Support.. Good luck!

    Thanks. The above reply is curious indeed.

    I'm only asking about software here;
    The hardware is really no problem in this matter as I have good, new stuff just waiting for me to get it set up.

    I can see your change to the subject.

    I will be following this thread as I'm looking for the same thing as you. I've tried using a host OS with VMs, but if the host needs to reboot for whatever reason, there go all your VMs along with it. I also tried vSphere and decided against it (though right now I can't remember why o_O ) (old age). :D

    Edit: Nope, looks like you just edited the OP, not the thread title.
