Well after searching these threads this is the closest to an answer i can find. I am new here also so hello to everyone. I am not an expert here by any means, i spent all day today tweaking win10 as per this excellent thread and getting it just perfect, or so i thought. Literally the last thing i need to do is create or join my (M) Home Group but unfortunately i removed everything including (M) Home Group when i made this ISO. Is there anyway at all to restore the Home Group at all if it was not installed with the newly made .ISO? I really dread having lost an entire days work if i have to remake the ISO to include Home Group. Any help by an experts would be greatly appreciated. --update-- well i bit the bullet and redid the iso with homegroup, my mistake anyways. Curious still however if i could add a service if it was never installed in the first place.
What great improvements does 1703 have I gotta ask? The reason why I'm running Enterprise LTSB in the first place is because it is no nonsense, actual stability and total lack of MS services.
@Feniksrising The "LTSB" part of this thread is wrongly used, it's a "LTSB look a like" (chopped normal Win 10 1703).
a doubt.. WU will get only security updates with this moded version? or other future improvments included? for a lighter version.. should I use the pro iso or enterprise iso? ..my intent is a build just for games
Ok, so it says extraction failed and leaves system folders in temp. Now, can anyone say how could I delete the files in temp and go for another extraction this time using wim?
I can remove all apps but stil the store app is present i can't remove it with the toolkit is there a sulotion?
Am curious as to the reasons why... The LTSB ISO is freely available, is it because of activation issues? EDIT: Just reread the OP and realized I missed this:
If that's what you got out of my remark or by reading this thread, you missed it Some misuse the letters "LTSB" for chopped up builds because enterprise LTSB is a slimmed down enterprise from origin. But the LTSB part of enterprise LTSB (Long Term Servicing Branch) has nothing to do with the result of this thread.
Seems like a plan, anyone else have good results by using the LTSB build? Does it matter which version of LTSB?
Thanks for this. Specially if the updates are not that frequently. By the way is it possible to somehow get example 'calendar' or weather app back? Don't see the store.
