You sir, are a genius :worthy:

I had no real expectation that downgrading the BIOS would work, but they could have removed this ability in newer BIOS, or something different in the new BIOS could be stopping the "master" password from working. Here are the steps I did for future reference:

    - Copied 1525_A09.EXE (adds improved Penryn support which is my CPU) and 1525_A17.EXE (latest) to my flash drive with FreeDOS.
    - Ran 1525_A09.EXE from Windows 10, it warned me about being an older BIOS about 3 or 4 times, in the end it gave an error and crashed. I did not see any flashing whatsoever.
    - Thinking the BIOS was not downgraded, I shutdown Windows, removed the hard drives (just in case) and inserted the flash drive.
    - Before flashing I went to the BIOS and noticed it was downgraded to A09. Whhaaaaaaat?
    - Tried 4vkzighb, incorrect password. Tried pv7yv4pa, "Enter new password"!! Left it blank, enter, enter again for "repeat new password"... no more password!
    - Booted my flash drive and flashed 1525_A17.EXE, this time it took about a minute.
    - Entered BIOS, enabled Virtualization.
    - Inserted hard drives (SSD + HDD in DVD Caddy)
    - Booted Windows 10, Hardware Virtualization is now available in VirtualBox!!

By the way, my keyboard is QWERTY :)

    Hey guys,
    Im really failing at this...
I tried all the tips you guys gave but I just cant seem to fix it.

    I have a Dell 3340 Latitude. FX76632-1F66 with A02 Bios.
The bios admin pass is lost, and I cant seem to reset it.

I tried downgrading with Freedos, but no matter what or how, the programs still keep asking for the admin pass.

I tried asset.com /s FX76632-595B to change the tag, but that also needs the password.

I hope you can help me, or point me in the right direction.

    Thanks!

I do not understand why if you got a password from Dell it would not work.
that's the authoritative source for the password, you cannot get better.
do not rush to buy another password it will be the same as you got from Dell

Does this computer have a French keyboard AZERTY I think it is called
that can give problems in entering the password
password was designed to be entered from a QWERTY keyboard

    Now to LatinMcG's point
If you try to change the bios by running e4310a08.exe or whatever that process is controlled by the bios which because of the lock will ask for the password You see that problem.

Now if the bios is corrupt and the computer will not boot at all there is a technique to reinstall a bios by extracting the header from the exe file and installing that . That's what I was talking about here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/faq-forgotten-dell-bios-password.43628/page-5#post-1387676

You might wish to try what I did with the D630 , it did not work on my E5430 but it's worth a try

Well it did not work :(
I think I'm going to drop for the moment ... I've installed an SSD and an extra RAM, it works fine so I'll stay like that, buffers for the bios not up to date.

Thank you for your help :)
