i guess you are looking for the original M$ 3in1 (x in 1) bootsector shipped with the monthly msdn subscribers downloads CD'S DVD's
I was only posting link on information on how to edit boot sector to make multiboot cd not posting modded iso files. I would say similar to info already on forum on how to make AIO dvd's and even WinAIO Maker Professional.
it sounds like i am only a US-Congressman, i didn't sell (produce) weapons, i only voting for "weapons for citizens" but i am not responsible if kid's killed
Didn't know about it. Does anyone have it? If it does exist and is genuine, even better! vanelle: Do you remember some detail about the MSDN ISO? Don't want to create controversy; I'm just asking for a bootsector and its related files and how to use it (directory structure of the CD) nothing else.
of topic eg. vanelle: That was it!!! With the hash you posted I found and already downloaded it. FTFiSO used a hacked/modified version of Microsoft's boot sector. Are there any other newer select editions with multi boot? XP or Server 2003? Thanks to everyone else!
Not that I have seen. But you have the model now, so poke around in it and make your own, part of the learning process. The mentioned boot file was also available in something called Balder Multiboot 1.82, no idea if they stole it from MS or what. With a hex editor you can go up to 24 entries in boot file, that is if I remember right.
not realy, 1 you need to know how to change some DWORD ofset in top of the machine code (boot sector) 2 the number of entries are limited to the size of the bootsector (2048 bytes) and not up to 24 -> if the displayed text is long -> smaller entries -> if the displayed text is short -> more entries posibel 3 afaik 24 is the limitation of the display rows ( more scroll the display ) -> by this way you can make more then 24 with the limitation of 2048 bytes and the usable key-codes Code: [A] product a product b [C] product c [D] product d [E] product e ........ remember we have valid ms shipmend for xp RTM (latest english version i have); Code: 23ECD23E8F2CB722F60599C9305C69139AA7077D *[ENU] en_winxp_home_pro_combo2600_FPP_20010828.iso [A] Windows XP Home Edition - English Windows XP Professional - English Choose an option and press [Enter]: @draken / OZ how about this original bootsector from a ms shipment DVD: Code: [A] Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition - English Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Checked/Debug Build - English [C] Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition - English [D] Windows Server 2003 Web Edition - English [E] Windows XP Home Edition - English [F] Windows XP Media Center Edition - English [G] Windows XP Professional - English [H] Windows XP Professional Checked/Debug Build - English Windows XP Professional with SP1a - English [J] Windows XP Tablet PC Edition - English [K] Windows XP Tablet PC Edition Checked/Debug Build - English Choose an option and press [Enter]: have it but never share (only to collectors )
Do they have a newer/improved code? Mind to share their boot sectors, if they do, please? Thank you so much!
