I was able to keep apps and files. I didn't boot from the ISO, I mounted it and ran the setup within the O/S I wanted to upgrade (build 15019)
Maybe you are trying to upgrade with wrong architecture iso? ie using x64 iso on a 32 bit installed version? Or the version you are using to upgrade is an older build to the one installed? This happened to me and it was an older version iso. Downloaded the correct version and I was able to upgrade keeping all my files.... JCC2
yes i know but they run on flash.... re-install u have nothing to lose....i seen the issue and re-intalling flashplayer fixes that issue.
"Opening" an iso on 10 is actually mounting. And only when upgrading to the same SKU will give the option to keep all. When you upgrade on 10 Home and upgrade with a 10 Pro/enterprise iso it won't offer to keep all.
Put your pants on your head, arms in the air, start screaming and repeatedly run into the nearest wall
Back haha had some troubles with the build function with windowblinds but fixed it by setting default theme so now running and testing hehe
Just thinking:- as MS hasn't released 32 bit 15025 maybe all the other download links for 32 bit are really 64 bit OR they have got the 32 bit ver with the bugs in (that MS are going to solve) and that's why I can't upgrade and keep all my apps.
I used Adguard's link to download 32 bit 15025 and sucessfully updated a 15019 installation keeping my apps.
Oh well..I suppose I could go back to 15014 and try and upgrade to 15025, but probably wait for the official MS ISO.
The iso's offered by the "Techbench Unlocked" ARE the original ISO's (we wouldn't offer them on MDL if they weren't)... The downloads are directly from MSFT's servers. @Potjevleesch, since win 8 has been released, the normal iso's are called "Multiple Editions" and contain Home and Pro. At the TechBench Unlocked download options they are called: "Windows10_InsiderPreview_Client_x32_xx-xx_15025" or "Windows10_InsiderPreview_Client_x64_xx-xx_15025".
