I have tried the bootable cd. it didn't brick the laptop. Laptop boot normally after upgrade. Although it has slic 2.1 inside, it is not a successfull mod, so didn't activate Win7
Can someone say me step by step how i must flash my original bios to 2.1 slic. I have usb floppy now.
Can someone explain the exact steps to take for flashing the BIOS using only that CD? I don't have USB Floppy...

1. Download a original Bios with phlash16 from Compal site (you need phlash16 for flashing and Bios for maybe emergency recovery)Originally Posted by 00raq00

4. Create a bootable DOS Disk (with Windows format)
5. Copy content of Original Compal Download onto Disk
You have to free Disk with unnecessary programs first (display, mode, etc.)
6. Copy Content of Yen's pack onto Disk, rename JFL92118F21.wph into name of original Bios file and overwrite original bios.
7. Edit batch file and add /pf=slp2 switch
should read now: "phlash16 /x /mode=3 /pf=slp2 JFL92118F.WPH"
8. Change bootorder in bios so usb-FDD starts first.
9. Start Bios-Update and wait till laptop shuts down.
Should work flawless.
10. For Win7 acti* you should use Daz loader, it determines correct certificate itself.
11. if laptop refuses to start, you have now all files to recover bios

Method 2
If you only have laptop, you should create recovery Disk first before flashing modded bios!
Did you try to burn ISO-File in archive onto CD (eg. with ImgBurn),
change boot order in BIOS to CD first,
boot from CD, flash bios automatically?!

No I didn't try it yet because I once tried to update the laptop Bios using this method (not this CD) and it went wrong and had to send it to RMA. That's why I asked for the exact steps. I'll try it though, when I have some spare time. Thanks
I tried CD install before I tried Yen's bios on Floppy.
Flashing worked without bricking laptop.
At that time Daz Loader wasn't around and so I didn't found correct cert.
Haven't tried CD since then with Daz Loader.
Can you activate Win7 with cert and key (lenovo or hp or dell)?
Cert MUST match Bios SLIC entry.
Key has only to be SLP, and don't need to match Cert and SLIC.
With "old" method I didn't found cert for CD version of modded Compal BIOS.
With "new" Daz loader, it should recognize coresponding Cert automatically.
But I stay with Yen's mod, so I won't test it.
All I can say is, CD method doesn't brick Laptop in my case.
I flashed my bios with Bios by Yen using Crisis mode. It works great and i have activated Win7.
Can you tell me how to flash my IFL91 with Yen mod(Already flashed official 1.18 firmware)...
Or Can I use to follow step to flash
1.Format a USB Flash Stick with HP USB Formatter(with MSDOS-BOOT)
2.Copy Compal Original 1.18 Firmware(included phflash16.exe and batch file) to USB Flash Stick
3.Copy Yen mod to USB Flash Stick as JFL92118.WPH
4.Edit the batch file to likehlash16 /x /mode=3 /pf=slp2 JFL92118.WPH
5.Booting with USB Flash Stick
6.Excute JFL92118.bat to flash my IFL91 Notebook
7.Wait to Flash Success, it will auto Reboot Notebook
8.then Enter Windows 7 to Active
