    Default Win 7 & Server 08 R2 SLIC 2.1 Bin Collection

    Share any new SLIC 2.1 bins here.

    Only new bins will be added if the OEMID & OEMTableID differ from the bins in the list.


    ** NO 2.1 BIN MODDING REQUESTS **
    ** KEEP DISCUSSIONS ABOUT 2.1 BIN SHARING-COLLECTING ONLY **

    SLIC 2.1 is needed for offline activations of Windows 7 OEM SLP and Server 2008 R2 OEM SLP.

    Trying to keep this thread about collection only info.

    The new bins will have to be added to a bios the same way the old bins were. Afterward you must flash the bios in the same manner as you did to add Vista support.

    The new bins will activate Vista now, but wont help with Windows 7 till a new Win 7 certificate and SLP key is leaked. Dont expect those untill a few weeks/months after Windows 7 goes RTM
    According to Lenovo preinstalled W7 will not ship before September....

    So if i have an hp pc, do i need to update my bios for the slic keys and certs to work when windows 7 comes out? Or could i already have slic 2.1 in my bios?

    How can I know what type of SLIC is inside this bios?

    Its an HP notebook on amd

    I just check the temp files after extracting the hp package (.exe) and this is the only file looking like a bios..

    Not sure what renaming the file to .bin will do.....it isInsyde bios. You can see it by opening it with the InsydeH2O tool and view the bios in memory with winhex...

    It has a 2.0 HP slic...

    sure, i always use linux

    oh my god, so no gun needed!

    I was using vista in that machine, so I can test vista activation to see if still work with your moded bios. After, i´m installing x64 win7 7264. But I think that there is no way to test slic in pre rtm releases, right?

    Edit: great! at this very moment i have win7 RC7100, dont know if RW will work, but i´ll test in a minute
