download the 64 bit version of Winphlash and put bios file in this folder and run the wbflash.exe and it will open in advanced options....

run wphlash.
Click Advanced.
Take the check mark out from CheckSum. Click Ok.

-start now winphlash64, you've got now the advanced button
-choose the biosmod from your folder and press the advanced button.
-press the advanced button. At flags check ONLY: verify block after programming,
ALL others must be UNTICKED!!!
-at DMI choose: Update the bios and not DMI.
-press OK and flash the mod.

Hi, could someone mod this bios?
I don't have the laptop here yet (it's my girlfriends), so i can't get the RW report yet if that is really neccesary.
I want to install Windows 7 on her laptop, so please use a SLIC2.1. It's an Packard Bell EasyNote MZ35.

I've got same problem.
My laptop is Sony VAIO VGN-FJ3SR (it's very old, I know ) with Phoenix BIOS
All a have is slic_firmware ftp://81.88.218.216/slic_r0150x6.rom
and original firmware ftp://81.88.218.216/original_r0140x6.rom
This is the latest firmware, and my winphlasher 1.6.5.6 doesn't want to flash it and doesn't open advanced settings, because of error 103 "Corrupted interface descriptors in the new BIOS file. Platform signature not found in the interface".
Old winPhlasher v.1.4 said, that "The new BIOS image is the same as current system BIOS, bla-bla-bla"
Have you got any solutions?
