Not wanting to be a pain in the a*** & I am prepared to wait as long as required, but could somebody please let me know if this bios is actually modable, as if it is not at least I will not wait in vain (I do not want to go down the "Lo**er route as I have already tried it & then killed my OS by running "Eraser" on the free space of my drive)
You really know about the quality of your question after you've got the reply for it.
-PLEASE NO mod request via PM! Therefore use the mod request forums. Thanks.
NOTE: I'll be absent from 15.02-28.03.2010. Ancestor(v) will represent me when I'm away.
A shoe too large trips one up. Walking shoeless hurts anyway.
Yen.
I found the OEM/TABLEID in the bioscode1, it is in 4-2-4-4 format, but I cannot figure out the surrounding code. I do not want to play with that tonight.
The SLIC is available to change.
The OEMID is Sony(code)..(code)VAIO(code)....(code)
Change this and the rest is easier..![]()

-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Notebook Samsung R40+
-Bios Revision : 06YE
-Bios Type : Phoenix
-Bios SLIC : SLIC 2.1 HP
-Moded Bios Link : http://drop.io/t9ndsrr#
Mod made by me. Tested on my book, 100% worked
Any luck with posts #594 and #722?
BTW, where can I find Phoenix Mod Tool?
I have tried your manual mod this time (tried Busykid508 and adrpat mods before) , still no go.
I have flashed bios in DOS from USB stick with command phlash16 /x bios.wph
Flash was completed with no errors but when power up, comp freeze at boot.
I managed to recover with CRISDISK .
It looks like F.2E (HP_sp41959.exe) is hard to mod. There are some successfully moded HP Pavilions reported in this topic, unfortunately not mine. Any new ideas?
Thank you for your assistance.
