Could someone help me with this BIOS?

Bios Type: Phoenix

I believe my USB host controller on this lappie is busted or something..

1 - Removing USB Hardware/USB Host Controller/USB BIOS Legacy/USB <Anything> support COMPLETELY from this BIOS (Most wanted MOD in this BIOS. Please! )

i have uploaded my ACIP bios dump i used (rw utility v1.2)

Try this: I had to use PBE to rebuild the bios. I've checked the decompressed modules, they seem to be OK.

Unfortunately the flash procedure stopped for some reason.....it could be wrong settings at the original PHLASH.INI, like FixAreaStart=FFF99000....I'm still sure the mod is made correctly......

have been doing a bios recovery but not working as yet, will have to make trip down shop to buy another laptop,

You need a tool such as WinImage but since it's me the one who asked, here you are the done job: http://rapidshare.com/files/24085645....75_082508.rar

There are two files per bios: one is the embedded controller (whatever it means) and the bigger one the true bios.

I'll have a look at weekend. How did you extract these files? I've tried winimage, but no files were shown inside the iso....

I have extracted the img file from the iso with Servant Salamander, a file manager I love. The files were extracted from the img simply dragging it into WinImage.

You couldn't see any file since it is the boot code of a bootable cd in HDD emulation. So, if you open it in a standard tool such as UltraIso, you won't see any file since there isn't ANY file in the root. You have to save the bootable code and, voilà, the img appears

I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4797 with a Phoenix Bios Version 2.50
It originally came with Windows Vista but I down graded to XP Pro. I only have 32MB Shared Video Memory and cannot change it to share more. I have 4GB of memory and would like to be able to share at least 128MB or Max 256MB. I have looked everywhere on the net to find an update that might help me with this problem but I can't seem to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this so if I have not provided enough information please let me know and I will provide further info. Thanx!
