    hello there, bios SLIC table mod request for a Acer Travelmate 4020 please.

    -Motherboard Manufacturer and Model: ACER TravelMate 4020
    -Bios revision: 3a43
    -Bios SLIC: ACER
    -Bios Type: Phoenix
    -Bios Link: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/noteboo.../bios/3a43.zip

    one note, im not 100% sure on this but there is a vista bios on the acer website link:

    its possible that this bios has a slic table already in it but im not sure. also the readme file doesnt list the travelmate 4020 as being supported but the bios is in the travelmate 4020 ftp section?

    Please mod. bios.bak made with winflash no advanced options chosen. Please let me know if I need to use any of the advanced options. I bought a USB flash drive for booting on my laptop BTW.

    PBE is not able to open this bios. I'll have a look at it later......there is space to add SLIC.....

    No chance to decompress the bios. phnxdeco.exe didn't work, too.

    The only chance is to insert a SLIC at bios offset 17E000h. Don't know if it gets enabled and the OEM ID and table ID of XSDT /RSDT get right.
    There is also a SLIX table already present, don't know why.......

    You can try it if you want, but make sure you are able to recover bios using crisis disk. This is your only chance. If it doesn't activate I'll need a new *.ats report, but IMO I can't do anything else, I'm sorry.
