    1. Download following files (at the end you will have 33 files):
      Note: make sure all the files are in the same folder otherwise setup will download all the files to a temporarily location again to complete the installation

    2. Execute 'SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe' to install Microsoft Office Starter


    Remarks:
    1. No activation required
    2. Vista SP1 or higher required
    3. For a complete basic Office Suite, you can also download Powerpoint Viewer 2010 (SP1)
    4. Make sure you don't have "Q:\" assigned as a driveletter. The installer uses "Q:\" to create a virtual drive.


    Other languages:
    1. Available languages (thanks to spiralien!)
    2. Replace all "en-us" witch your language (eg "nl-nl" for Dutch version)
    3. The *.dsft files have different filenames for each language. Open descriptor.xml and search for "</DiffSftList>"
      eg for Dutch version:

    How Is Office Starter 2010 Offered?
    Office Starter 2010 is not a trial–it has a perpetual license that does not expire. Office Starter 2010 is an advertising-supported base productivity suite that is available only on new PCs. It must be preloaded on new PCs at the point of manufacture. Office Starter 2010 is not available for existing PCs at any time after manufacture; for example, Office Starter 2010 cannot be installed on new PCs being sold by resellers, even brand-new PCs. It will not be sold through distribution or available to end users as a standalone product.

    I've tryed several languages and it works. However, i can't download for Portuguese (Portugal). I don't know the language code. Anyone?
    I do Award and AMI Bios Mods for Slic 2.1!

    It simply might be not available (yet)

    Anyway, i think this is quite interesting...
    Office 1020 Starter might just be what I need, I do not need Access, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Powerpoint etc
    Word, Excel and the PowerPoint Viewer (for occasional slideshow i receive in mail) are sufficient for my daily use.

    I do not know yet, maybe those can be defeated the same way as on Live Messenger (eg: Host file hack -> 127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com)
