Short version: I need to edit a WiFi card whitelist in a Lenovo BIOS, and it's an IMC file. Phoenix BIOS Edit Pro says it's the wrong size and won't open.

Longer version:
Lenovo chose to restrict what WiFi cards can be used in a laptop I have. They also chose to ship laptops to Australia with USA wifi cards (MOW1). Combining this with Intel's retarded decision to have the region hard coded, I'm left unable to connect to access points on channel 12 and 13 using this laptop. I spent over half an hour attempting to connect to an AP at a conference center on the weekend, only to discover this crazy situation.
As I have a spare ROW card, I figured I could use that, only of course it's not blessed by Lenovo, so I need to edit the list.

Help! For some reason, my windows help and support utility is not functioning well. When I open it, it shows:

Mark a partition as active
__elbasuer__

__elbasuer__

Marking a partition as active is an advanced task that should only be performed by advanced users. Marking a partition as active on a basic disk means that the computer will use the loader (an operating system tool) on that partition to start the operating system.

Warning
Don't mark a partition as active if it doesn't contain the loader for an operating system. Doing so will cause your computer to stop working.

Click to open Computer Management.
__elbasuer__
*
__elbasuer__

On the left, under Storage, click Disk Management.

Right-click the primary partition that you want to make active, click Mark Partition as Active, and then click Yes.

Notes
You can't make a logical drive or an extended partition active. Only a primary partition can be made active.

There can be only one active partition per physical hard disk.

If you have multiple hard disks installed on your computer, it's possible for each hard disk to have a partition set as active. However, the active partition on the first hard disk that your computer's BIOS detects is the one that will start the computer.

Also, all of the topics are lost!
What's the possible way to reverse it?
I remember in Vista, there's something about merging a key that'll fix the problem.

Thank you very much in advance!:)

Hello everyone.

Before I start to ask anything, I would like to let you know that I have searched the forums and tried looking around for a solution before creating this thread.

My friend gave me an Acer Aspire One netbook and I'm not sure what other brand it is but I accidentally flashed a wrong modded BIOS... foolish me..

Here's what the netbook looks like.

All I know is that the old BIOS were v1.02 and were H20 something Insyde. There was also something called KAV60.

The netbook doesn't really turn on.. well except the power button lights up.. that's about it.. so pretty much bricked.

Does anybody know any solution... Well I do know if there is a solution, I would need the original BIOS back.. or even a modded (SLIC 2.1) one for the same netbook. Perhaps hold Windows key and B during boot... not sure what it really is.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT:
More pictures...

I'm getting ready to start making an ALL-IN-ONE usb installer. I'm using a 32gb flash drive for this project. I plan to put every version of Windows 7 & Server 2008 / 2008 R2 that I can. 32bit and 64bit, Retail, OEM, and Volumn, Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate, Regular, N, N-1, E, etc... You get the idea. Yes it is a bit overkill, but you never know which version you might need.

My question is, does anyone know if there is a limitation in the installer as to the amount of install types you can have listed to choose from?
