Is there any particular reason why it has to be Acer? You can change the vendor after you have installed Windows with relative ease.

For example, you can easily change the XP oembios files to match an HP bios etc. (or actually mod the VMWare BIOS yourself - it isn't too hard). For Windows 7, I would just use an HP OEM and put in the appropriate key and xrm-ms.

Just my 2 cents worth.
