I have an Asus a6t notebook. Yesterday upgraded it with Amd TL-60 processor from tl-50 but when the pc boot I have this error:
*****Warning: Unknown Processor Revision*****
The processor(s) installed in your system are of an unknown revision. Please contact your BIOS vendor for appropriate updates.

I tried last bios but the problem it's the same, but another user with same bios and cpu TL-60 Taylor revision BH-F2 haven't problems! In my cpu I found this model: TMDTL-60HAX50C.
What can I do? I think that modding the bios it's the only way!

Someone can add the right cpuid please? Here you can find the bios: http://rapidshare.com/files/68964348/A6T-ASUS-0702.rar.html, processor model is Amd Turion TMDTL60HAX5DC.
I searched for the cpu id already, but i didn't find it! I think you have to add the P6 microcode. The cpu id is not enough. What about the A6Tc? What about ASUS support?

Are you able to find the microcode from a phoenix bios? The tl60 that I'm trying to install come from a new Dell Vostro 1000, here you can find bios: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=uk&l=en&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=222387
I haven't tried this before. I'll have a look at it and will reply.....
Have you asked Asus about?

No, I haven't..
I was able to open the Dell bios, but I didn't find it. At Award bioses I know how to add the cpuid, but at AMI and Phoenix I don't. The tool cpuz is able to read the cpu ID. I have to research some more, but this time I think I cannot help you.:(
I'll reply to you again if there are some news about. I would ask Asus for a bios update.

I can find cpu id reinstalling the tl60 in dell pc, ok?
Yes, but as I said, at AMI bios I don't know how to add it at the moment. There are some other bios modder as well at http://www.rebelshavenforum.com/sisubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=52
Unfortunately most of the informations are about Award bioses, not AMI.
In the meantime I will see if I'll find more informations about.

Whow. It seems that this is a picky thing. Some tried that at newer Award bios, but didn't work:
http://www.rebelshavenforum.com/sis-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=52;t=000100
You should ask Asus about. It's a high risk to get a bricked laptop.
I don't dare to try a mod at the moment.
Hope you'll find advice at Rebels Havens's forums.
