manufactur name ASUS_FLASH or ASUS_FLASH. with "."

Just a quick Question before I try all my new found knowledge.

I have GA-8S661FXM-775 (Rev 1.x) Gigabyte board.
I downloaded GA-8S661FXM-775 (Rev 2.x) moded by Fzeven.
Win XP pro (mod done & ready to go).


???????

With dmicfg do I now change bios system--->
manufacturer name,
base board,
enclosure,
& Chassis
name to "ASUS_FLASH" without the (full stop) or with it "ASUS_FLASH."?

I note that in a post by gunyunzi in relation to SLP= Dell Inc. he says
do not forget the "."
so I thought I should ask if this also apply's to ASUS_FLASH

I Just spent some time on the net to see if I could use CD instead of Floppy
to boot into DOS and use dmicfg.
It has been like pulling teeth, many many searches & pages has left me
more confused and none the wiser.
I have not got floppy drive, only DVD/CD so if any one knows how or if Please
offer your help.

The correct string is ASUS_FLASH without the full stop. But you cannot set it into the matching range by editing the DMI entries.
