Thanks for posting the beta, they added a new feature to it that shows what slic version you have 2.1 or 2.0. The 5.02.1750 release didnt show that.

the same thing happens to me but in the slic dump tool its 2.1 and i have already tested its activation and it works so maybe you are in the same boat as me and for some reason everest just doesnt show it

2. Double Click on Motherboard
3. Click on ACPI
4. Click on SLIC:Software Licensing Description Table

And you will see something like this:


If you don't have the SLIC listed then you obviously DON'T have SLIC in your BIOS.

Actually Beta versions 1805 and 1810 do show the SLIC Version (2.0 or 2.1)

I think the tool looks nice, but has no functional value for T/S inactivated bios mods. Limited utility...at best...:cool:

All show, no go for bios mods. For seeing what is in memory, it is good, and allows for a slic/cert dump. This is a good feature for new slic/cert combos.

Use RWEverything and you can dump all ACPI tables, and the SLIC.bin..

Everest is just plain weak!!:cool:

From my experience, Everest only says 'emulated' if the SLIC originates from an emulator rather than the BIOS itself.

(Which sorta makes sense.)

In other words, you are most likely using a SLIC-emulating GRUBLoader to boot into the OS...

The loader loads the Slic table into memory emulating a modified bios. Everest and Slic Dump Toolkit read the slic table from memory and not the actual bios itself.

I am using modded slic 2.1 BIOS for my M1730. Everest 5.30.1900 also says Slic version is unknown.

Others have the same issue as posted in the first few posts, but there is still no answer?
