it did'nt work :(
i used afudos with those syntaxes. i looked after flashing via everest, and there is no that slic table at all. ( and yes, i did try to reset MB via jumper)

This modded bios, when I compared it with my version of using AMI_SLIC3_0630, has some differences. May I ask your opinion what do you make of this difference? Does this matter? Thanks for your time and expertise.

Here is the differences when using Winhex:
Search for differences

Just tried to flash this bios using EZFlash2. Program reports back that this ROM has a bad boot block. I did not try to force the upgrade.

for me this doesnt work , and installing a cert plus asus oem key
ends in rejection of key and i dont even have SP1

at least i was able to rearm after 3 hours of fuckin around with
this ******* pain in a arse vista ****.

I just dont understand what the f.. problem is....softmod (bootloader)
works but bios mod wont work....i use ez flash to update my bios
and i have updated gazillions of bioses in my life so i should know
what im doing.

The cert is imported but actviation fails on the last step..and as far
as i can see it uses the same product key as the softmod. **** this.

cbrom does not give me any weird errors. But anyway, try at your own risk.

I'm going to have to assume Toshiba BIOS must be extremely hard to crack or is just considered pure junk. I never see anything about Toshiba anywhere. The difference between the two is dynamic and static.
If slic4 works for you stay with it, it is the dynamic one.

the certificat is named asus.xrm-ms
u have to open cmd in admin mode to install it
command is : SLMGR.VBS -ilc C:\ASUS.XRM-MS (if u put the certif in C:\ )
command to install key is : SLMGR.VBS -ipk <OEM_PRODUCT_KEY>

ok i'll try with this link when i'm back home.

i'll add an old version of afudos in the archive.
boot in dos mode with your floppy or some cd dos iso
type the command : AFUDOS.EXE /i<your bios here> /pbnc /n
if u got a message like bios bad checksum or some error message it's normal.
u'll have to reconfig your bios cause the command reset all and overwrite all parts of the bios. if the bios dont work, ask to someone else in the forum that knows more about modded bios than me. i'm a newbie about modded bios but i activated 2 friends pc with modded bios, one asus a8n-e and a packard bell with some orion mobo.
we installed the vista sp1 rc1 v.668 on the packard bell and it's still activated. but software way to activate vista dont work anymore, maybe there are new soft to activate it or crackers are waiting for the final vista sp1.
