No this is the good bios i made, i just uncompress the iso to find the bios file, you just need to burn all the files to a bootable USB KEY and launch autoexec.bat
EDIT :
Or try this, i rebuilt the iso file with the mod bios :

Hi
Thanks for this, I appreciate it.
Flash appeared to go without hitch. I was previously having problems with WoW6 not getting past bootloader so I eventually got in and removed Wow and reinstalled the Asus cert and number. Several reboots and it all appears to be fine. Unless there are any changes you can consider your help a success and I'll let you know if it changes.
Once again thank you very much!

And it's all working fine so I'm very happy. Wow6 wasn't working for me - not every boot anyway.

Its an old cut and paste OEM7 mod. Extract the acpitbl.bin, replace (cut and paste) the code with OEMS.bin as oem7 module (Inside the bios and Must be the same exact size.), find SLIC address in bios, figure the SLIC pointer address, Adjust the ACPITBL per ssv1.
Reinsert eh ACPITBL.BIN module.
I think there is a fairly clear tutorial somewhere in the mod your own bios thread...not sure though.
Be careful mucking around with bios mods. A bricked board cannot be restored..simply crashing the bios may not be the result...

Thank you medic, I will start playing with it this weekend.
I'm not worrying about bricking the board, I had the bios pulled and installed on an PLCC socket and I also have a flash programmer just in case :)
Thanks again.

For best results update to original bios first, load setup defaults, save and exit. Then update to modded bios. ISA has worked with previous versions of this bios, so it's worth trying before oem.

I tried the bios mod for this board that is already on here but I get a checksum error. and the backup bios kicks in and over writes it. I can flash it just fine with the original f5 bios. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.
Is this the one you're having a problem with?

If so maybe it needs an oem mod.
Did this ever get sorted or tested out by either user mentioned above?
If so, and or even if not can I get a Mod for F6C for this board?

Is that with the new Official F5 that was reposted after Jan 14? There was issues with the F5 from December.
And as for the specific F5, neither user has reported if it was ok, that is why I asked about it and relinked the new version.
Well thanks for the reply! Hopefully someone will mod all 3 of those for me sometime today (New F5, F6b, and F6c)
If you mod yourself, It would be greatly appreciated if you could do the F5 again with that newer version I linked. And of course those two beta's if you don't mind.
Thanks
*EDIT*
Sorry, I will relink the latest F5 one sec!
*EDIT*
Seems it has been pulled again, and the Dec 30 one reposted, I didn't grab it myself as I was using F6a at the time or I would post it. But...... I guess that one is ok since they have again relinked the same version back to Dec 30, they do that far to often, I even see some in the same day change checksum values within hours but have the same date details n such.
So, I will grab and use that F5. If you mod them, can you please do those two beta's? If not, hopefully someone else will for me.
Thanks
*EDIT*
WOW, how did your post get under my reply to you about that? :D Anyhow, yeah you are right see my above thoughts about it. Thanks for the F5, can you do the others?
Did this ever get sorted or tested out by either user mentioned above?
F5 mod is made:
Asus SLIC added:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/9xhcay
Method used: black epa, oem module under epa
The BIOS file is in the link you provided is the same date as the one that was modded. I can take a look at F6 beta this weekend if no one beats me to it :)
I don't mind modding one of the F6 betas. In the meantime DivideX0 and moley85 report the F5 mod to be working.

Hello,
I know there is already a slic-bios mod for the ASUS A7N8X-E DELUXE 1013 (ASUS).
Unfortunately it offers no SATA II - Support.
I found 3 Bios mods @ that can handle big SataII HDDs.
These are able to boot up my system but without Vista OEM activated (no slic integrated).
Topic on nForcersHQ - Forum can be found here:http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/hosting-uber-bios-1013-for-a7n8x-e-deluxe-4283-sata-vt69351.html
Bios mods direct DL:
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe 1013 BIOS with added v4.2.83 Sil3112 (SATA) BIOS by NeoPolus (based on Über BIOS):
http://www.kami.es/pub/Modded%20BIOS/Asus%20A7N8X-E%20Deluxe%20Uber%201013%20BIOS%20with%20SATA%2042 83%20by%20NeoPolus.rar
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe 1013 BIOS with added v4.2.83 Sil3112 (SATA) BIOS by NeoPolus (based on Trats BIOS):
(Both CPC on (1T) and CPC off (2T) versions are included on the same package.)
http://www.kami.es/pub/Modded%20BIOS/Asus%20A7N8X-E%20Deluxe%20Trats%201013%20BIOS%20with%20SATA%204 283%20by%20NeoPolus.rar
I would be very tankful, if one of you skilled guys around here would be so kind to Add SLIC Table into BIOS ACPI to Activate Windows Vista OEM with these SataII mods.
After I read the tutorial http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/18/improved-way-to-add-slic-slp-20-table-into-bios-acpi-to-activate-windows-vista-oem/ i'm afraid to mess up the Bios-chip since I must confess to have no clue about Biosmodding.
THX in advance zdz

Hi there just wanted a quick bit of advice. I am getting an Asus P5Q Deluxe board, the latest BIOS version is 1702 and I can see it was modded by andyp.
http://drop.io/p5qdeluxe1702
The size is 2MB so will not fit on floppy for AFUDOS.
I've not had an Asus board before, should I try the EZ flash utility? Is it safe for BIOS's modded with SLIC?
If not please could someone let me know the best way to flash the BIOS.
Many thanks
(And thank you to 911medic who modded my abit IP35 bios and I forgot to thank personally!)

It is safe, but depending on how the mod was done, it may not flash. Some tend to throw a Checksum error. You can use a flash drive, or a cd to flash the bios also. This for afudos. You will need to make a bootable iso with Something like These.. (http://www.bootdisk.com/). Add the files and away you go...
(You are very welcome by the way...:D:D)

Thanks for your advice. I will try the EZ flash, if it fails I'm guessing it will be easy to recover (dual bios on this board).
Otherwise I will make a CD.

Oups !!! sorry, it was working fine, except the fact that this motherboard is really strange as this new BIOS wasn't supporting my soundcard anymore, so i had to reverse to the previous BIOS (v1.06) to get it back working.
I'll try this one tomorrow as i'm not@home actually.
thanks by the way for the fast answer ! really thank you guys !
i'll post feedback this time and will not forget, promise !

The ISA must not be compatible with this model. It didn't kill the mb if you're able to take a screenshot from Windows. You should be able to reflash. Your motherboard also has dualbios. Let us know if the oem7 mod works. (You will need to install HP cert.)

Try this:

Try it the way you have been doing it...
burningfire87,
You can use the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool to format a usb flash drive to make it bootable:
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,64963-order,4-page,1-c,peripherals/description.html
You will also need the win98 boot files. You can use WinImage to extract them from this floppy disk image:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/8uq0ae
Once you have the flash drive made, copy flashspi.exe, the original F2 bios, and one or both of the oem mods to it.
The best order to do things is:
- Flash original F2 BIOS
- Turn off the computer and clear cmos for a few seconds and and put jumper back to normal position before turning back on.
- Load setup defaults, save and exit.
- Update to modded F2 BIOS of your choice

Hello modders and users of this great forum ;). I have a gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P and have used the modded F7 bios which activates, but there is an issue; Easytune 6 and the EnergySaver application do not function with the modded F7 bios. A new beta bios (F8a) is out and these apps work with it. Could someone please do a mod on this? It would be interesting to note if the mod is actually breaking the functionality of these apps. (I'm gonna test with the untouched F7 as well) Thx guys.

Hello! I'm a newby to this forum. Because English isn't my mother language I must say sorry in advance for my poor english. Hope, that everyone can understand my "problem".
I'm in need of a bios-file for my Acer Extensa 5230 Notebook.
The Link for the bios-file ist here:
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/ex_5230.html
I need the Bios Version 1.27 wich i've already flashed into the Notebook.
As far as i've understood the things by now it seems to be the case that my Notebook-Bios already has SLIC-Information in it. When i investigate it with Everest-Ultimate, the oem-information "ACRSYS" and "ACRPRDCT" is shown. It has 374 Bytes, so like it is asked for the use with "Acer.xrm-ms" File. But Windows doesn't get activated. Any ideas?

Sorry to report but it does not work, completely:D. I got a bit of a scare when I tried to enter the bios settings just after flashing and just got a blinking cursor. was able however to select the flash drive as the boot device with F12 key function and reflashed. So, I just cannot get into the bios config and also I was unable to see if the two apps would work because although it would boot from devices, I would have to get into the bios config first to reset my raid. Well hope that helps you pinpoint what may be wrong.

serial number??
With the serial number everything is ok. I use the correct one for ultimate version but windows doesn't activate. Everything has been done like said here in the forum. It seems to be a problem with the SLIC-Table in Bios. The special Parts in bios contain "zeros".
montree50 and Lord Extra,
Since your notebooks have Insyde bios they can't be modded, but you're right that there probably is a SLIC present already. If you use a SLP product key (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=2581) and install the acer.xrm-ms cert then it should become activated.
If the SLIC isn't present, or if it still isn't working for some reason then you'll probably have to use a bootloader like WoW (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=3366).
I tried to enter the bios settings just after flashing and just got a blinking cursor
That is becoming a more common problem with Gigabyte bioses and the isa module. If you and others who have this happen are able to upload an acpiscope report that will help tommy find a better memory address to load the slic to improve the isa for future mods.
As for the Easytune and EnergySaver applications not working, there was another motherboard E7AUM-DS2H where the Dynamic Energy Saver (DES) program wouldn't run with an oem modded bios. In the end a ssv3 mod solved the problem. It's possible we might need to do a ssv3 mod for EP45-UD3P for DES to work on it too.

Thanks for your help but again this is a no go. This time I am able to get to the bios config but when I boot the progress bar just infinitely moves across the screen. I notice the keyboard seems stuck as i cannot change the num lock status.
I think the beta bioses are more touchy and sometimes not moddable. You might have to use F7 for the time being. It's less than a month old anyway ;) Maybe someone will have time to make a dell version. I have to call it a night myself and work tomorrow...
I read in another of your posts that everest can do an acpi report, hope this is what u need.
I think acpiscope is the better of the two, but this may still help. I'll forward it to tommiy who was the last one to work on the isa module. Thanks for the report!

Expletives aside...The previous mods did not attempt the ISA method. I am not sure how the previous working mod was done. The slic is in the acpitbl and no pointer that I can discern. I do not have time to disassemble the module, so..
Try this one..
ASUS SLIC = http://slics.myftp.org/MSI-7025 (MOD)_ASUS_SLIC_.rar
The one I made that didn't work is identical to the previous version that did not work . I assumed, by your request, that isa had failed before...this is not the case. 0+2 mods do not work..
Let me know how this goes..:D

Would somebody be so kind as to mod the latest revision of this for me? I've had a go, but not sure I've been too successful.. Found 911medics earlier version, which I'm using (thanks!) but for other reasons I need the latest.
The FC-mod tool fails to find the config lock in the 1b module (or something like that), though an FC module does exist.
The other tool says there's already a SLIC present... And I'm not sure that it's worked..
Anyway:
Motheboard Manufacturer and Model: ASUS P5Q3

BIOS Type: AMI
SLIC: with ASUS SLIC

If you do manage it, please let me know if you had to do anything special to get it done!

Hi All,
Hope someone can look into this BIOS:
Emaxx EMX-ANF82HD-PRO board
Bios Type: AMI BIOS
Bios File: http://www.emaxxtech.com/files/EMXANF82HDPRO/bios/EMX-ANF82HD-PRO%20BIOS%20V1.2.rar
I tried slictool before and never had problems. This time around, after using SLICtool and flashing the BIOS, I get a total board black out. Luckily I have access to a programmer to restore the BIOS to the factory version.
So i thought let's give WOW6NOMBR a chance. Vista accepts WOW6 and I enter the cert and product key. After reboot I get a blue screen and a restart.
Hoping someone can take a quick look and tell me if this can be modded??
thnx!

hi,
you can try this ssv2 if you want
slp:asus, slic:asus
http://www.divshare.com/download/6501969-b12
flash first using afudos with unmodded bios load default after flash, then flash with modded bios using included afudos, load default after flashing.
Hi again.
I managed to reflash the original 1702 with afudos using /n switch only (afuwin wouldn't run (said this bios was not supporting afu:confused:).
After that I successfully flashed 911medic's SLIC1702 and it's all activated now! :)
Thanks so much guys for your efforts!
Hi ,
This is my first post sorry for my english.
Anabelle which afudos version did you use? Because I'm trying with the last versions and it says: " Bios does not support AFU" , and when old versions of afu I flash the bios correct but then vista is not activated.
And the other version of the slic for this motherboard 1603 , is not working for me neither. Vista not activated.
Gonna try older slics.
Thanks for all and once again sorry for my english!

Hi All,
Hope someone can look into this BIOS:
Hoping someone can take a quick look and tell me if this can be modded??
thnx!
Hi
Can you tell me what version of SLICtool you used, what options you changed (if any) and what method you tried (ie. ssv2/3 etc.). Had you used slictool on a previous BIOS for this board?
Edit - If by chance it was an SSV3 mod, using amimmwin (ie. mmtool box NOT checked) then I think the problem could be due to amimmwin damaging the rom info (80h) module and a SSV3 mod using mmtool should be fine (as should an SSV2 by definition). If it was a ssv3 with amimmwin and you are happy to have another try (and are confident you can recover the chip) then try the ssv3 mmtool mod - it would be great to isolate the problem so I can code to try and protect against it.
Thanks
Andy

Hi ,
This is my first post sorry for my english.
Have you installed the cert and serial number Here>> (http://rapidshare.com/files/118119842/39-CERTS.zip)
Also be sure to clear cmos and load defaults after the flash. If all this and no activation, post an ACPIScope report..
You may be able to use the EZFlash with mine..

I tried SSV3 with default options. I did not try SSV2 yet but will give it a try now. I had not tried this tool for this particular board yet.
Hmm I tried your suggestion and SLIC complained it failed to insert 1B module and asked me to manually insert the 1b bin file using MMTOOL... I did so and I cannot tell if it replaced the 1B module or not? I opened MMTOOL click replace, module 1b and no offset and pointed to the 1bslic bin. then saved the rom to a new file... correct?

92 is an old version. Latest is 993. When mmtool is checked you have to insert manually - it cannot be automated via the command line. Did you click 'replace' then save the rom. SLICTool will check that you have inserted the right 1B file and only say it is successful when you have.
I think johnalvin used the tool with SSV2 selected and default options (they binary compare identical anyway) ;)

Do you have the gigabyte certificate. This would be a good find.
To clarify, you need a matching cert to the SLIC to activate. If you have the cert, could you upload it please//:D
