EDIT: Fseven has already modded it,
sorry for the post, but the bios it isnīt at the Tested and not Tested bios thread.
Yes, but if you do other settings inside BIOS (8CORES-HTT-EIST and so on)
it will fu*k up whole Bios ! (Trust me i have tested a lot)
Try F4R beta bios and SLIC will squeeze out other important Functions !
Here's some info on Tommy's version of the ISA that we usually use:
SP1 seems to be calling something that overwrites the SLIC in ISA rom...consistently.
...
SLIC is now loaded before the ACPI table...seems that this remains intact before and after sleep. If you don't want the ISA ROM to load hold down tab at boot.
It sounds like with this BIOS when the SLIC is loaded this way, there isn't enough space left in this part of RAM for some of the motherboard functions.
Is already modded and tested. See the thread...
It was modded for Asus slic before. New one is Dell slp1 + slic.

Added Asus SLIC (Tommy ISA mod):
http://www.sendspace.com/file/p840eq
This bios is a little odd because there's a useless nocompress at the end that had to be extracted, released, and readded after the isa. If it doesn't work we can try a different kind of mod.
Thank you Zort
My English is not so good!
BIOS is not running.
I can not log Biossetup and not into Windows. Booting from USB stick went so I could flash the original BIOS.

Ok, it's probably that screwy nocompress module "UTS64K.BIN" at the end. I'll do an oem mod for you later today if no one else beats me to it. (It's ok if some one wants to :D) Hopefully it will work better.

Use A78CMB11.BST_Slic1.rom. It is Asus SLIC with the 1b header checksum corrected. (_Slic2 is the same file but with original checksum. He probably put an older version in by accident or forgot to save changes, so you can delete it.)

I think 1703 has not been modifed yet. I remember 911Medic mentioning that the mBIOS has code where a SLIC would normally go, so this will require a manual mod. It may require you or 911Medic to take a look at this.

Depends on the mod that was performed, or the tables added. This 1703 has plenty of room for the ssv3 trick. I would imagine the tools will work also, I would recommend looking at the 1b module first, and at that point why not perform mod manually??
I do some other adjustments the tools do not. Most work when the tools fail.
I think with this bios it is just preference at this point..:D:D:D

Your BIOS has UTS64K.BIN also. I noticed cbrom doesn't extract it properly, so I copied it out manually, released it, and readded it as nocompress at the end. If this doesn't work we can do an oem mod.

If that did not work:
1. Flash the ORIGINAL BIOS using AFUDOS (from pure DOS:rolleyes:) using the following command:
afudos /i<original bios file>.ROM /PNBC /N
2. Restart, power off, clear CMOS, Power ON, Load setup defaults and reboot

We've seen this happen with some other Gigabyte boards with ISA mod recently as well (not being able to enter setup). I think it's worth trying an oem mod. I can make one later tonight. (Still at work but will be going home shortly.) If you'd like to help Tommy improve the ISA module you can upload an ACPI scope report for him to check out. If he gets a few of these he may be able to find what needs to be changed to make it compatible with the new BIOS.

Acpiscope might work if you press F8 and disable driver signing enforcement. If it doesn't, another option would be to export an acpi report from Everest instead.

You will need to upload an acpiscope report. (See first post there.)
Phoenix bioses can be difficult to mod and have a higher rate of flash failures even when modded correctly or even when not modded at all, but there are some people here who are good at modding them, so best of luck!
Pease try this: http://www.box.net/shared/4erjyiy115

Insyde is a no-go at this time..Try the WOW patch Here.. (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=3366) It is the only way to activate these at this time..Perhaps an .ats file would help them if you have difficulties. Remove any and all softmods prior to attempting this..Clean installs are best..Good luck!!

Hello everyone!
Merry Christmas to all of you!
new Bios for the GA-MA790GP-DS4H was just released. Could someone do a mod on it please?
Very good, successfull mod was done by Yen and by Offon7544 just a while ago for the F2 bios.
So i would, to be honest, prefer Yen or Offon to do a mod again. Thank you. Slic don't matter, really, Asus prefered though (saves me from reinstalling Cert).
The bios is a little tricky as it appears since there has been a bad mod before which bricked someones MoBo (User ttx with a F1 Bios).
Heres the Request:

Thanks for your prompt reply and tried to help me.
but I'm sorry that both of the 2 modded bios (for EP45-UD3R F3 and EP45-UD3P F3) are not worked, would you please check your moded methods?
already tried flashing a few times, bios hung at "verifying DMI pool data" and failed to finished loading.
flashed by using command FLASHSPI.EXE <mod bios file name>
and also tried FLASHSPI.EXE <mod bios file name> /C /D /E
cleared CMOS at after each time I flashed.
also tried to flash back to the original bios and reflashed to the mod bios's, but I could made it to load Windows
Just so other knows, How did i get a working bios back?, After I flashed the modded bios's I could not load the FLASHSPI.EXE tool in the USB drive I had to reflash the original bios with Q-Flash.

I'll redo them with black epa logo in normal location rather than readding the epa to the end. That's how I did EP45-UD3P F6 which worked for Zabby.

Since you've reflashed the original bios with Qflash you should now be able to reflash a modded one.

The public key/marker method was a quick, safe mod to try first. Since that didn't work we'll have to see what the next best option is.
Procedure to use for best results:
1) Update to official 1601 BIOS first, not modded one
Flash from DOS with Asus version of awdflash.exe
2) Clear CMOS & load setup defaults.
Note: Computer must be off if you clear CMOS with jumper. Put it back to normal position before turning the computer back on.
3) Update to modded 1601
Flash from DOS with Asus version of awdflash.exe
If you have any bootloader like vistaloader or wow, you have to uninstall it or it will interfere with the bios slic.
I assume you have regular P5N32-E SLI, not Deluxe, Plus, or Premium.
I have to work, so may not be able to look at it until the weekend, but someone else may be able to help you sooner. You can pm me if you need to.
Note: An earlier mod for F3 allowed booting but you couldn't get into the BIOS screen, so this may be tricky...
That has happened with a few Gigabyte motherboards with ISA mod recently. If you and others who have this problem can upload an Acpiscope report or Everest acpi report, that may help Tommy improve the ISA module.

bios are still stopping at the "verifying DMI pool data...... update success" and it failed to finish loading into Windows.
I tried everything I could think of, reflashed to retail bios revision, try flashing with and w/o DOS command switches, both cleared the CMOS and just left it w/o clearing any data.
but a good thing is that I still got back a woking bios by using the board's Q-Flash tool, as I'm now running both main boards with the original bios's.

There are a couple other oem mods that can be tried-- ACPI at bottom ("quick") and OEM at bottom ("0+2"). It's possible that no oem mod will work with these versions though. I can look at it again this weekend. Someone else may be able to try one of the other methods in the meantime.

@ Zort:
Yen gives you perfect Credit. He fully trusts your ability to mod. Since i do not know you i apologize for having little trust. I'm sure you do understand.
But since i know Yens work and trust him and since he trusts your work i am very happy if you can do that mod for me. Yen cannot at the moment as he says. So please if you don't mind...:D feel free to try your luck on that particular bios. I am aware that it might be one of the more tricky ones but it is a dual bios, thus easy to recover in case of a mess-up.
Thank you for your effort.

Your BIOS has UTS64K.BIN also. I noticed cbrom doesn't extract it properly, so I copied it out manually, released it, and readded it as nocompress at the end. If this doesn't work we can do an oem mod.
It is working. Windows activated. But flashspi doesn't read bios file correctly.(It said) So I used motherboard Qflash and it works. Thanks

Hello everyone!
Merry Christmas to all of you!
new Bios for the GA-MA709GP-DS4H was just released.
Manufacturer: GigaByte
Board: GA-MA790GP-DS4H (rev 1.0)
Bios-rev: F3H
Bios Type: AWARD
Link: European Location (http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-ma790gp-ds4h_f3h.exe)
American Location (http://america.giga-byte.com/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-ma790gp-ds4h_f3h.exe)

Thank you, your modded bios seems to be working fine. Which method did you use?
Please remove the first 1701 version (http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/13/2048424/1701_ASUS.rar) from the "All Slics - Tested and Not Tested" thread. It's for M2N32-SLI Deluxe.
Try this: http://www.box.net/shared/ooccl9ppqs
Flashing procedure:
1. Flash unmodified version first 1701 using ASUS tool with all recommended switches
2. Clear CMOS, Enter BIOS, load setup defaults
3. Reboot
4. Flash the modifed version without any switches using the ASUS tool
5. Reboot
6. Test and report back if it worked

if someone could have modified bios with more options to overclock ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS, I would be grateful
and I also explain how I put this BIOSMOD, I always updated the bios for ASUS UPDATE, q is quite easy, now a modified bios not know if the program is too.
note: do not speak English as, I used the google translator, maybe get a little strange the sentences.

Flashing the BIOS in Windows is riskier than flashing in DOS. The safest way for your motherboard is afudos:

Feedback please.
yaaarghhh i just had a nice and lovely post ready and when i hit submit it was all gone with the login-screen----|
Well, again now: Offon this bios works fairly well, so here's your feedback along with a massive "Thank You, Sir!"
Manufacturer: Gigabyte
Board GA-MA790GP-DS4H rev. 1.0
Bios-Type: AWARD
Bios rev: F3H
Modder: Offon7544
Vista Act. State: ACTIVATED
Link to File: MA79GD4H.F3h (www.sendspace.com/file/5y20zv) or MA79GD4H.F3h (http://www.box.net/shared/7r03leq3hr)
Note:
This BIOS introduces one new CPU, an Athlon X2 7750, which is a low-cost, higher speed dual-core thingy. Quite useless in my eyes :D
Along with this, Gigabyte secretely disabled the option to manually set Dual-Channel-Mode on the RAM, which means, no dual-channel anymore on this board. This is a serious piss-me-off kinda thing. They did exactly the same on my previous Board, a K8NXP-9 Board. after the third or so bios rev the dual channel mode just secretely disappeared through the backdoor...
i left them a note at their support site but they are off on vacation and according to my experience with them bastards the answer will take very long and then not be very helpfull.
So if you need dual-channel and don't have that sparky new CPU you'll better stay with F2A which has been modded successfull twice (see my sig for links) and works fairly well as well.
If i had noticed this before i asked for the mod i had not done so in the first place.
Well, thank you anyway Offon7544. Its been worth it for the proof of concept only. Unfortunately.
have a good NYE!
cheers,
Gollum

Unfortunately.
have a good NYE!
cheers,
Gollum
Thanks for feedback, Enjoy !

911medic,
In this post I gave a modded BIOS of GA-MA770-DS3-rev.2.0:
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=45757&postcount=15957
The Vista is activated after my patch, but when I wanted to enter to BIOS settings I cannot do it.
I was hurrying like a young boy, when I wrote "tested"...:(
If you have a time, look at original and modded BIOSes, and write down, please, what's wrong.
Original BIOS (http://www.gigabyte.ru/download/mb/bios/20893/)
(The method was
cbrom182 ma77ds32.fbc /isa HP1.BIN)
Eternal glory will be yours :)
(And of course, Happy Holidays for ya all)
Aww, missed out on the eternal glory-- early bird gets the worm! :D

You didn't do anything wrong. The isa module is causing this problem on some new Gigabyte bioses. I think isa method is still worth trying first, but when this happens oem mod (or maybe ssv3) is needed.

Just a note to the EP45-UD3R..This was posted earlier, is F4 ok??
Here's the history of these 2 board so far..
GA-EP45-UD3P:
F3 (prerelease): Oem(epa) mod didn't work.
F5: ISA worked.
F6: ISA didn't work ; oem(black epa) worked.
GA-EP45-UD3R:
F3: ISA worked ; Oem(epa) mod didn't.
F4: ISA worked
F5: no mods yet, ISA is worth a try.

yep...I wonder if the flash is a bit hinkey on some of these. We tried the isa on the custom f5 a while back and it was hit and miss. I have also seen isa work from one modder and not another?? whats up with that...
without Standard flashing between bios, there is no control...:D
The ISA on the f5 is proper ( Big Brother)..if it doesnt work, then we move on:D:D

@KERCHINK.....Be sure to remove all parts of the loader first..Some need to reinstall vista or fix mbr...Use VOATK Tools for start...

I know we saw some cases where the old muyu ISA didn't work but Tommy ISA did. If the same ISA is used then I don't think it would make a difference who made it since it's just one command that's hard to screw up. However I think the same BIOS might work OK for one person and not another depending on other hardware installed and BIOS settings. Some functions like Dynamic Energy Saving may require more memory space to work, and the SLIC table might take away from available space depending where it's loaded.

I forgot I modded that BIOS for Atlantis who also couldn't enter setup with ISA, so I made this oem(epa at bottom) mod which worked:
MA770-DS3 - rev.2.0 - ver. Fbc : AWARD
mod zort, tested Atlantis
