I tried this bios, it hung on the logo. i tried resetting the CMOS, and no luck. Had to recover the old bios.

Again motherboard has killed by my long and curve hands :p But it have seven lives, as at a cat. Now 3 already in the past, remains 4.

MOD Asus M2N-E (simple, without SLI) see page http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?p=16363&posted=1#post16363 , under this link of a wrong modded BIOS! Motherboard loads ASUS logo, then the black screen with the blinking cursor and on this all comes to an end :( Flashing under DOS by awardflash.exe with loading PC from bootable USB flash drive also, as well as earlier modified BIOSes. After flashing modded 1504.BIN on scredn a awardflas.exe map was seemed the message, that 2 (something there) no flashed. But without error messages, it is flashed Ок!
Again download modded 1504.BIN (http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/13/2048424/1504.rar on rapidshare link dead) archive with mod on another USBkey. As well as earlier has pulled out the BIOS chip from a saddle motherboard, has carried in service-center and have flashed again with this mod1504.BIN by on programmator devices. Has brought chip to home, has inserted, I start PC... After ASUS logo the black screen!!! And on http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?p=16363&posted=1#post16363 message that is checked :eek: On Monday again chip go to programmator to be dragged :D

This is not about enabling SLIC, what i would like to learn is if i take a bios from a mainboard thats identical to mine, with a similar bios, that has....... oh hell.
i want to enable raid 0. my bios is from a gateway GT5676, made by Foxconn.
Foxconn has a board just like it, i want enable eveything possible.

I tried your moded bios for al8-v and reported m/b's unstable.
The m/b's unstable is provablly m/b' problem, I think. So I sent m/b to a/s center. After repairing m/b's problem, I will report again.

Flash from DOS....No windows or qflash

After flashing with your first mod, Vista Activated but only shows one core of a dual core.

flashed with this mod and Vista is activated with both cores working. Remember to select none for the floppy or Vista install will hang.

This is an ISA mod..I just put the module up in the order..I dont know how the other oem7 was realized..it is beyond my scope.

I cant even extract some of the modules due to a header error??

I haven't had a chance to try yet, Just got out of Hosp.
I will let you know how it goes.


Tested and not working.
system rebooted to blank screen.
I flashed with afudos after trying the onbd bios utility.
onbd utility gave a checksum error and would not flash.
AFUDOS did not give any errors and flashed with no problems.
I had renamed the orig bios to AMIBOOT.ROM and flashed with CTRL+HOME
to bring the bios back.

This bios does not boot at all screen keeps black now, i can recover it i have two boischips programmed so no problem lol. :)
Pc works again reseated old bios and did a hotflash on the spare again so furter testing possible lol

Hey 911Medic, how are you? I tried this one also and have the same boot errors as my ISA mod. If you want to keep trying, I am willing to test it. This board must be a crazy one to mod. It's one of those newer Gigabyte models where they changed something in the bios.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry to bring this board up again. I've had a couple of people try it but I've had a lot of errors. I think Gigabyte really tried to stop modding on this board since it seems to have a weird set up when you look at it with CBROM, there must be about 20-25 modules in there.

We tried the ISA method and there must be a conflict in memory somewhere because when it boots, it says something about a missing device. We tried the OEM7 method and I get an ACPI firmware error in RSDP and it won't continue past that.

I know Fzeven did this board with Asus and it works (no boot errors at all, although there is something wrong with the "Dual Bios" logo, it just looks weird), but I'm trying to avoid Asus, I'd rather have Dell or HP, preferably Dell at this point.

There's gotta be a way to do this board with something other than Asus. If Fzeven or someone else can try it for me, I would really appreciate it. I am willing to try different mods since the board has auto-recovery Dual Bios.

Anyway, thank you in advance to anyone who can try this. I think we have to stick to the OEM7 method since that's what worked for Fzeven, unless someone like Yen knows how to stop memory conflicts with the ISA method.

Slic = ASUS mod Alessio
but I get bootblock error and I cannot flash it.

At this point I hope someone can mod the 1201 version and hopefully I can flash with this new mod version (1201).

Let me ask you something though, the POST logos look a little weird, the "Dual Bios" logo looks a little phased out (kind of like it's only using 4 colors) and there is no "Energy" logo. The full screen logo is fine. Is there anyway to fix the logos so they appear like in the original bios?

This bios does not boot at all screen keeps black now, i can recover it i have two boischips programmed so no problem lol. :)
Pc works again reseated old bios and did a hotflash on the spare again so furter testing possible lol

i downloaded awdflash 1.33 from another download location and now it functions

I'm aware that there's already been a similar mod (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=9395&postcount=7442). However, I've got three reasons for my request nevertheless:

The BIOS version 1.0d is superior to 1.0p. It is capable of adjusting the FSB and thermal settings. MSI/Medion have crippled those features in later versions.
The modified 1.0p BIOS (http://www.box.net/shared/z7fxqxf0f6) isn't available since days: "This user is out of bandwidth. Please email support@box.net for support or upgrade for more bandwidth"
Hey - it's a Medion labeled Computer and it deserves Medion SLICS, not an ASUS one! :)

Recently I just upgraded to a new motherboard ( DFI DK P45 ) and I was fortunate to benefit from your hardwork to mod my old mobo. ( Gigabyte G33 )

Any chance that you guys could take a look at this BIOS? Because I can save quite a bit and I don't mind donating for your time and work. Right now I haven't really installed the board because I wanna make sure I get everything in order first.

OK here is my NEW Gigabyte way:

Use cbrom32_115 therefore. Extract and release the nocompress module:

cbrom32_115 ep45dq6.10a /nocompress extract
cbrom32_115 ep45dq6.10a /nocompress release

Then add iasus1.bin by tommiy
cbrom32_115 ep45dq6.10a /isa iasus1.bin

Finally add the nocompress module again,
cbrom32_115 ep45dq6.10a /nocompress UTS64K.BIN

Done.

Thanks for trust in my knowledge. The PCI mod had got a checksum error, this corrected new mod I don't have to provide to you anymore;). Anyway it was a lot of fun.....and a good chance to get a working PCI mod.....

PS: cbrom182 isn't able to extract a nocompressrom.

Yes, remove any cracks and flash the bios. Install the cert and change the serial for activation..
