I dont think they use the same Bios do they?
AFAIK they dont.. the V13 BIOS is a beta and isnt available on Abit's Main site but is on thier FTP.. the IP35Pro has Bios revisions upto 14 on the website..

I know it was requested, but he never got back and reported if it worked or not (I even PM'd him... no reply)....

Can some kind sould mod this bios for me? I tried the ISA method but I am having problems, the computer will not shut down. When I flash the regular bios from Gigabyte, it works fine. :(

I would appreciate it if I could get the Dell SLIC but I will take any (Asus, Acer etc.) ;)

I did an advanced search but did not find a modded bios for this one.
Although I'm not shy on flashing (I just flashed the latest bios for this mobo) I am reluctant to mod myself, so I would be very grateful for a modded bios.
I also tried Vista activator but that did not work for me. I run Vista 64 Ultimate on an oem license.

Thanks for the quick reply Yen. The modded bios installs and boots fine, and after a short period of failure (didn't have the cert applied correctly) vista is fully activated. :D

Stll getting the same error thanks for trying have managed to get sound with the slic 3a29 bios it seems the acer drivers are the problem uninstalled them let windows update load drivers now sound is ok everything working.

So for me 3a29 works perfect, 3a43 not sure what the problem is will keep testing and if I work it out will post reply, but for now 3a29 is good.

Make the floppy disk and replace the bios. It's a safe ISA mod. At some cases this kind of SLIC injection don't work.

For other users, the BIOS for GA-P35-DS4 Rev1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 seems to be the same (same content and same size when dowloaded from GIGABYTE, and the mod BIOS named Rev1.0 works fine with my Rev2.0).

Some people tried to mod this BIOS and so did you. I tried the mod made by China4Ever (F6 (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=3&page=863)) and the one made by phrunt (F4 (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=3&page=651)).

Both BIOS only provides the ratio 3.33 for core 2 duo fsb 800MHz. I know that it seems to be very difficult to unlock the ratio 2.00 also for a 800MHz CPU. It would be great if you try it. :D You would help nearly 100 persons, who signed this pertition (http://www.g33m-ds2r.de.vu/). The 2.00 ratio was once officially unlocked by the BIOS F4a, but only for fsb 1066MHz. In another forum that I found they could unlock only the 2.66 ratio for a 800MHz CPU and it is unstable.

Is there any chance that you could manage this?

Report:

BIOS mods 1 and 2 flash OK but there is no sign of SLIC table. (I checked ACPI status and it was on all the time, as Vista won't even boot if it is off)

BIOS mods 3 and 4 cause crash right after Windows starts to boot, entering into an infinite loop of restarts.

I have no idea why this isn't working, as you have done so many other mods for me (laptop and desktop). I found an option in the BIOS "Reserved Memory" with options of 16k-64k and another option of setting the "Reserved Memory Address". I don't know if this has anything to do with your mods.

Also, in Everest there is a Root System Description Table which has _ASUS_ value in it, so the mods must have done something, but without SLIC the activation is not working.

For other users, the BIOS for GA-P35-DS4 Rev1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 seems to be the same (same content and same size when dowloaded from GIGABYTE, and the mod BIOS named Rev1.0 works fine with my Rev2.0).

In his signature you see a modded version dating november 5th, 2007 and I wonder if anyone here would make a version with the correct Asus SLIC in it.

seems to work great. My system is still authentic:) and the bios looks different than it did too.
The only thing I'm missing is the flashy bios Lanparty screen when I switch on my machine but that's probably missing from the Merlin mod I guess.

I'm not familiar with unlocking ratio. I've heard that Gigabyte bios doesn't work with modbin. Have you got a spare chip to reprogram the bios in case of a bricked board?

You can flash it but not with EZ Flash.
Use the latest afudos.

AFUDOS 2.29 (current version) is the only way of flashing a modded BIOS on the Maximus Formula. Also, the first mod of 0802 didn't work properly, but the re-mod worked successfully thanks to Fzeven's 1337 modding skills :)

Fzeven, I'll test the new 0901 BIOS mod and let you know if it works.

But now only one simple quaestion i have:
The super algorithm doesn't have to be "super"! As I stated before there is a easy way to detect them. The only kind that is hard to detect is the dynamic method, cause the official SLIC containing bioses use this method as well. These methods are the ISA, the PCI, The AMI-FC and the Phoenix mods. All the superstatic ones are easy to detect. The "best" regarding to be not detected are all Phoenix (NOT Phoenix-Award) and the AMI FC-mods. The Asus Award bios mods with BBPubkey and BBMarker added are fine, too.

Crosshair has activated his board with this bios.

First of all try to clear the cmos.

Could be a numer of things.
Bad flash, bad memory, old awdflash........

I did try to clear the CMOS.
The odds of my memory going bad after a bios flash are slim to nil.
(All have been thoroughly tested with memtest)
I used the bios flash tool you get to from the BIOS.
I'm just telling people it bricked my motherboard, so I wouldn't recommend using it, not to mention the exact problem others have reported, hanging at USB INIT.

Sorry, but I have to say: You shouldn't waste our time to let us mod a bios that sux. You should test the original one before and then decide for a mod!

Was a little bit complicated because flashing of the BIOS could only be done by DOS (and i don´t have floppy) But I created a bootable CD with the files and then flashed it.
