OK, I finally managed to flash this mod BiOS and happily the results are A+.

It has been running for a few days now with no problems at all . o O (will keep an eye on it and report back if anything goes wrong).

I have tested it with my DELL Windows XP Professional SP2 and it was activated at first go . o O (only installed to test if it works)

Than I installed my Windows Vista Home Premium slipstreamed with SP1 with OEM information . o O (I used vLite for slipstream and adding OEM information) for DELL M07 and it is activated with no issues so far . o O (will keep an eye out for the activation).

I would like to thank Fzeven for his support.

Even though this worked for me, it does not necessarily mean it will work for you. Please follow normal procedures as you would when flashing an original BiOS from vendor.

Make sure you make a bootable floppy disk and copy your ASRFLASH.exe . o O (the one you downloaded with your original BiOS from vendor website or you can download it from page 655 in this thread to get the original ASRFLASH.exe, that is the one that I used) and P4i65G_1.40 BiOS . o O (modded BiOS, I renamed it to it's original name just in case).

If you are not sure what your doing please ask someone that knows how to recover from a bad flash if anything goes wrong.

Remember You are responsible if you brick, burn, crash, etc, your motherboard..

Thanks for the file. Is there anyway to test the BIOS before flashing? If not how can I recover from a bad flash? I dont want to screw my wifes PC up.. :)

It is posible to recover your computer by your self.

But you might need a floppy drive, couse from USB Stick or CD/DVD it does not work always.

of course if do you have mobo with warranty you can go to your computer store (where did you buy the mobo) and tell that your computer (not mobo!!!) is not working and don't tell him about the bad flash, play as a narrow minded (i dont know... today my computer wasn't boot and i dont know why)

Shouldn't the bios file you posted be in BIN instead of ROM as you posted?
I thought the AMI BIOS files were in ROM not Award?

but the file you've shared on rapidshare "3082F34_WIN.exe" is the flashing utility which runs on Vista not dos, and there is no bios.rom. I've flashed with that utility but it doesn't help to activate. May be I'm not getting it but can you send me .rom fail with slic or how do I run this from command prompt with all this keys (phlash16 /x /s /c /mode=3 bios.rom)

Here flash the files in this archive from dos mode using phlash16 with the commands I gave you before. Instead of bios.rom substitute the name of the bios file you want to flash either 3082F34.M22 or 3082F34.M24. Good luck.

Ok now folow the steps exactly as descibed:
1. From the recovery floppy you have used delete the files bios.wph and autoexec.bat.
2. Download this file and copy it to the recovery floppy:

3. Boot from the floppy and type the folowing comand:
phlash16 bios.wph /x /s /c /mode=3
4. Wait until the flasing process finishes and shut down the computer.
5. Remove the power cord and the battery and press the power button and some random keys.
6. Wait for a minute and plug the battery and power cord and turn on the computer.

Lets hope that this time everything goes well as expected and you will not have to go thru the recovery process again...LOL..:D

Isnt the file supposed to be in BIN format instead of ROM?

For the last one I used the ISA metod, for asus bioses I use ppbkeymarker metod.
Once I used the manual metod for Giga Byte bioses by extracting, relesing and reordering the bios modules, but sice the ISA metod works 100%, i dont use it.

Flash over EZ Flash in Bios reports, that the boot block may not be valid. But the Flash under Windows works fine. Vista activated!!!!

To be able to run the program restart your system and while bootnog press F8 repeatedly and select Disablle driver signing.
This should make the program run for this sesion only, after you save the *ats file restart your system to return to normal mode.

Sorry, but I kiled my self saercing the forum for a solution to run ACPI Scope on Vista x64 and found none.

You can do this although it is a litle complicate:
Install Everest Ultimate and go to Motherboard section and select ACPI.
If there is SLIC under the ACPI section look for the adress of the SLIC and write it down.
Now open HWDirect and go to the Memory Dump section.
In the adress field write the adress you got from Everest and on the Size field write 176 and press dump.
Right click over the dumped strings and clcik select all and copy.
Now open WinHex and insert them inside by clicking Ctrl+I make shure that ASCII is selected.
Save the file from the WinHex and upload.

You will find Windows flashing tools intended for "safety of flash beginners" are NO safe if looking back by a couple of pages on this thread.
EVERYONE should flash from PURE DOS (booted from a diskette) even though whatever their BIOS manufacturer is.

The bios binary is usually compressed unless it is developed for working on a real mainboard.
You will need a developing tool for AMI bioses if you want to see an embedded code.
(Why not flash first if you have a mainboard for it, and then you can see it on Everest etc...)

Did it activate then there is nothing to worry about?
If you try to find it into the biosfile it self then you won't find it the bios is compressed.
Otherwise have a look with the latest Everest.
Mainbord->ACPI->SLIC.

FYI..I have not tested this 1502..but only worked with another super modder on the process of removing the EPA LOGO..instead of just going straight to releasing the logo (to free up space)...used a method to extract items in sequence to get to the EPA listed..then releasing it..and then putting back the others in order and then inserting the slpkey and slpmarker instead of using the ISA method.

1. I dont know if there is anyone who had flashed this bios mod, although till now it has been downloaded 4 times and nobody has complained.
If there was any bricked board, the complaints arive in a second.
2. No, it doesnt meter if you uninstall VL after or before the flash.
3. Yes you can downgrade to XP without any need to reflash with the original bios.

All SLICS for DFI Lanparty DK P35 TR2S are not working... Still no SLIC Table in Everest (Ver 4.00.978 or 4.2.x.x.x.) . i have tryed to mod my bios myself but still no RSDT found in bios after extracting (original.bin).
Can U help me.... please....
