Hi,

i have a problem with my bios. I modded it myself, but after s3-modus the activation is lost. I've tried the following steps:

Cbrom p35cds3r.f10 /ISA isa.bin

cbrom p35cds3r.10 /d shows:
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/9949/isa1ih3.jpg

After flashing slic is available, everest shows me.

After S3-wake-up the activation is lost
http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/5205/noneaktivierungne1.jpg

Then i tried
CBROM p35cds3r.f10 /OTHER 40A5:0 ISA.BIN

cbrom p35cds3r.10 /d shows:
http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/4248/isa2hr5.jpg

Same result, after s3-wake up, the activation is lost.

Then i tried
CBROM p35cds3r.f10 /OTHER 40A6:0 ISA.BIN

cbrom p35cds3r.10 /d shows:
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/4536/isa3xf4.jpg

Same result too, after s3-wake up, the activation is lost.

Board: Gigabyte P35CDS3R Rev. 2.0
Award-Bios
Bios-Version: F10

Original-url for the bios-file (f10) is http://asia.giga-byte.com/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-p35c-ds3r_f10.exe

Can someone tell me, what i have done wrong? Or could someone mod a bios, which didnt loose activation after s3-wake-up?

in the next post i show, what everest is showing after s3-wake-up (cant post more then 4 img's)

Sorry for the images, but i dont know what to do.....

Please help me.

Works like a charm in Vista x64 SP1. I am pretty new to this, but has anyone added two SLICs to a bio. I am interested in installing Lenovo software on my pc, but lenovo does not have Vista ultimate OEM key.

The mod did not work unfortunately. It appeared to be a successful flash without any problems but Vista refused to allow me to login. Said Windows was not genuine, enter another product key etc. I tried that but would not work.

I got everest to run in restricted mode.... and as you can see in the screenshot it's off somewhat. The working 0904 read as follows

ACPI Signature APIC
Table Description Multiple APIC Description Table
Memory Address DFEEBB40h
Table Length 152 bytes
OEM ID _ASUS_
OEM Table ID Notebook
Creator ID AWRD

As you can see they are different when you compare the 0904 with the 1103 screenshot.
I flashed 1103 successfully twice but still the same.

Thanks for your help !

Try the bios recovery techniques in this post:

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=20679&postcount=5

Look at step 2. Which bios did you flash ASUS or MSI?

After you recover try this Super Static v1 mod SLIC = ASUS, rather than the Super Static v3 mods, which apparently your motherboard does not like. Also make sure you are flashing in DOS mode using the latest version of Afudos.

Please help unhide and make functionable the AHCI option in the SATA configuration. Right now it only allows IDE. But, version 0406 bios used to have the AHCI option available. I would use that version but it doesn't support my CPU (Intel Q6600 G0). Here is the link for the old 0406 version that has the the AHCI if that helps:

Hey BIOS Gods, :D

I was just wondering if anyone was working on my request or is it just too difficult or impossible to do or did I ask for this in the wrong place???

I'm new to this and was attempting to do this myself but all the tools I got to try to mod this seem to crash when I try to open this bios even with DOS tools. Any help or directing me to the right place to ask would be greatly appeciated.

Thanks again.

I flashed it today but sadly vista still says activation 30 days left :(
The oem certificate of the _Asus_Notebook is also loaded with success.
One question... i tried everest and it told me that i have 2 slic entries.. one with my old vendor (shuttle blabla) and the new one _ASUS_Notebook.
Is it normal or a possible problem?
any ideas which step i might have missed or is it a bios problem?

Did you try the options in step 2 and 3 of that post? I double checked those bioses, and they were both correctly done Superstatic V3 mods, so there maybe something wrong with the board you got. Good luck.

It could be a bad flash, but NOT all Ami bioses can be ss v3 modded.

Even with original bioses there are lots of problems with sleep modes.
I read so now and then some mother board reviews and see a lot problems with it.
Most of the time its a driver problem.

hi,

Anybody feeling good?

I have a M3a32 mvp dlxe wi-fi board and I have got hold of a new bios that fixes the wifi issues.

the previous bios i could add the slic table using the correct tools. One activated vista.
This one generates a 1b module error whenever i try and vista is not activated with it. Could one of you kind souls give it a go and let me know where I'm going wrong.

Motherboard:-Asus M3A32 MVP Deluxe Wifi
Bios revision:-1001
Bios type:-AMI
Bios Link:-http://rapidshare.com/files/102318421/1001_WiFi.zip.html

Thanks.

Did you try the options in step 2 and 3 of that post? I double checked those bioses, and they were both correctly done Superstatic V3 mods, so there maybe something wrong with the board you got. Good luck.

Yes i tried the different ways in steps 2 and 3 but still no luck, it wont accept any keyboard commands, so i first thought it may of been because of my usb keyboard so i swapped it with a ps2 one and still nothing! :(

Not too worry i can get it rma replaced and attempt it again on the new board or use the bios emu crack.
I may even get a partial refund and go for an asus board instead which is 50% cheaper and as ive had two from them before with no problems may be a better bet. ;):D

Hi - works perfectly.

Just a note - you said up above the slic was asus but the file has slic dell tagged on it. Added the dell xrm file and it works fine.

I normally mod my bios's - i have done the m2n32sli dlxe and the previous one for the m3a32 mvp using the tools supplied on this site so where was i going wrong. I was getting a 'can't extract 1b module' error.

Cheers

I've made this one, if the new processor is supported with this bios you don't have to do anything, just upgade the processor.
Otherwise you need a new biosmod.

does everest still work properly on your machine? my vista x64 machine with this bios seems to stop everest from reading sensor data properly. Have re-installed everest several times and cleared cmos. but still makes no difference. Temps are no longer shown in the system tray. I can view some figures in program but these seem not to be live. Also everest crashes and hangs saying "detecting sensor information...".

I can't tell if bios update if causing problems or not but it worked before. Does everest work properly with everyone elses vista x64?

Hi thanks for this, i flashed the bios and all went well but my pc will not post anymore!
Ive tried clearing the cmos but that didnt work.

It was a brand new board as well!
Not sure what to do now? :(

As simple as this may sound I sometimes get similar problems, but if I remove and then replace the BIOS chip, everything gets set back to pure defaults and it posts if it wasn't really a bad flash !

I guess it's the ultimate CLRCMOS if your BIOS chip is mounted in a chip holder.

Too bad if your BIOS is soldered. Hope this helps, sure worked for me more than once.

I've made this one, if the new processor is supported with this bios you don't have to do anything, just upgade the processor.

I tied this BIOS, but I get error cannot read file everytime I try them. Could you try again.
P.S. I never found if the op tried them.

Did you renamed the bios file to e.g. "Bios.rom"
And you're syntax is exactly the same, e.g: afudos /iBios.rom /pbnc /n
The biosfile name is right after the "i", no spaces between them.

Yes I renamed it the same as the original downloaded BIOS a7350nms.250. The command I used was afud408 ia7350nms.250/pbnc/c. Should I use a different name?

Rename it to bios.rom
Type this line exactly after dosboot: afudos /iBios.rom /pbnc /n
make sure afudos is on the disk also.
If it still not working, try to flash a original bios. ( also rename to bios.rom)

I do my best on every bios that i mod, i know that these thing happen but if it happen i feel sorry anyway.
It's more difficult to recover on a notebook if something goes wrong.
There is only a crisis recovery disk and if that doesn't work it has to go to the shop.

I tryed to mod my MB's BIOS (GB P35-DS3R rev2.1), but i got confused and i was unable to finish with the modding, so i'll be very glad if someone can mod it with Del or Sony SLIC table:

P35-DS3R rev2.1 F11:

Try this, slic = Dell, feedback will be appreciated.:)

Hi, I was using Vista. Even tried modding it myself and had no joy.

However, this one worked no problems!

Thanks for your fast responses, although I don't suppose I could ask again how you managed this. The modding your own bios thread didn't work for me.

Cheers,

Flash it like this: afudos /i<biosname> /pbnc /n

EZFlash says the boot block is NOT valid. Do I really have to do this with afudos, or sth is wrong?

I suggest that you use afudos, the syntax is in the post with the download link.
It's a common problem.

Can you upload "DOS system files" extracted from floppy for me? I have no floppy drive in my PC so I can`t make a bootable flash stick with HP USB Disk Storage Format tool.

You have to write the biosfile name directly against the switch e.g. afudos /ibiosname.rom .............

Try flashing it using afudos, in DOS mode using the command Afudos /iP5E-ASUS-0605.ROM /pbnc /n

I think that won't work, biosfile name is to long.
Rename it first, e.g. bios.rom

HP slic first link may cause some problem. Pls tell another mod request
If you have any suggestion pls feel free to tell me.
Thank a lot to everyone.
When you get it back try flashing the bios in DOS mode with phlash16 using the command:

phlash16 /x /s /c /mode=3 /BBL bios.wph

Try flashing it using afudos, in DOS mode using the command Afudos /ixxx.ROM /pbnc /n, you can rename the bios to a shorter name like BIOS.ROM and then flash using:
Afudos /iBIOS.ROM /pbnc /n

if that doesn't work try these 2 mods, mod1: SLIC = Dell

http://rapidshare.com/files/103378721/P5E0605.zip.html

mod2: SLIC = Dell

still nothing. bios is reporting bad checksum, or is still reseting CMOS. i must write official bios, because winXP is still restarting (BSOD) (i'm on another pc)

noone bios is working :( am I doing something wrong?
