This one has me puzzled and it seems no attempts have yet succeeded in modding this bios but hopefully someone can do it, i can't understand why my attempts have failed.

If the SLIC oem id & oem table are the same as the RSDT oem id & oem table id then you can try some other keys to activate.

Can anyone mod BIOS for Intel D915GAV motherboard (by the way 100% the same as Intel D915GAG)??? Because the one made by China4Ever is not working as I described in my post (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=19900&postcount=5119). :(
P.S. For better description of the problem need to add that it is possible to flash my bios with moded one by China4Ever using iflash.exe utility, but when I tryed to flash it from floppy in "BIOS Recovry Mode" (internal motherboard flasher) nothing happend accept the system bell was ringin 2 times.
PP.S. If it is possible, please use ASUS SLIC!!!

You can mod P5K 1005 (and other P5K bioses) yourself.

I spoke too soon! I'm getting the same problem I get with all Vista hacks - every now and again computer fails to boot and I get black blank screen. I'm using Vista SP1. Can anyone help? I've only 1 day left to activate.

I've seen BIOS mods for the S3H in this thread, but couldn't find any for the S2H. I was hoping someone could mod my BIOS for me as I'm WAYYY too nervous to do it myself. I did try the Easy Auto Method in for Award BIOSes in the other thread, but I'm not sure it did it correctly (showed "Adding Iasus.bin 76.6%", so I'm not sure it did it correctly). Anyways,

These are Instructions from paradox:
1. Install the Windows Vista x86 edition of your choice without entering any product key during setup.
Basically any Windows Vista x86 installation media will do, regardless if it's MSDN/Retail/OEM/...,
MSDN/Retail are recommended though.
2. Install the emulation driver.
Run OEMTOOL.EXE, select the OEM BIOS information to emulate (ASUS might be a good choice given the
fact that it's the only OEM for which a complete set of product keys is provided ;)) and hit the
'<Install Emulation Driver>' button.
Alternatively you can just right-click the ROYAL.INF file and chose 'Install' from the appearing
menu. This only allows for installing the default OEM BIOS information (ASUS) though and is strongly
discouraged unless OEMTOOL.EXE fails for some unknown reason.
When prompted about whether to install an unsigned driver, allow it.
(For some odd reason Microsoft didn't wanna sign this one...;))
3. Reboot your machine.
4. Install the OEM certificate matching your OEM selection during driver installation by running
SLMGR.VBS -ilc <OEMNAME>.XRM-MS
(e.g. "SLMGR.VBS -ilc C:\ASUS.XRM-MS" if you chose to install the default driver and extracted
the certificate file to C:\)
Note that this operation might take quite a while depending on your system, so be patient.
5. Install an OEM product key matching the installed edition of Windows Vista x86 by running
SLMGR.VBS -ipk <OEM_PRODUCT_KEY>
(e.g. "SLMGR.VBS -ipk 6F2D7-2PCG6-YQQTB-FWK9V-932CC" if you're running Windows Vista Ultimate using
the default emulation driver)
Note that this operation might take quite a while depending on your system, so be patient.
See PKEYS.TXT for a list of OEM product keys published by different OEMs.
6. Run 'SLMGR.VBS -dlv' or right-click 'Computer' and chose 'Properties' to verify your licensing status.
Now please tell me if I understand this correctly, On a clean system with an "updated" BIOS I would skip steps 2 and 3. And on a system that currentlly has paradox I would run paradox and choose uninstall emulation driver.

Windows Vista Home Premium still activated after the BIOS update.
Wondering though...
Say i have an oem activated Windows installed and i update my bios to one without a SLIC, will Windows then be deactivated upon boot/login ?
Are there no activation checks against the bios anymore after the initial activation script is run ?

Just a short note on flashing:
Since i have noticed 2 posts within the last 10 or so stating that people use a windows-based flashing tool i would like to advise you guys of the following:
Flashing from within windows is very dangerous and often gives errors. it is not advised to do that, however comfortable and easy that may appear!
also, on many occasions, the modified bios will not be flashed by a windows based utility. It will give errors or even worse, destroy the bios.
one should at least try to use the Dos-based manufacurer's tool.
Sometimes, with some Mainboards, it is even better to use the routine programmed right into the bios-chip.
for switches and parameters on the appropriate flashing-tool ask google. there is lists of switches for most tools drifting around the net.

i flashed the modded bios and activated vista it worked fine. System says activated but on desktop is still the Evaluation text... how can i remove that?
How can i be sure that the bios modd is running and working now?

i have a motherboard geforce 6100-sm wich is running on a modded bios (slic) with Asus id, but i would like to have is as a Sony, is that possible? i own a Sony pcv-rz14g but my usb (all 4 of them) as well as my parallel port no longer work (hence i got another computer with a 6100-sm motherboard) but i already got used to my software (in particular "click to dvd) and even though i have original cds (that came when i purchase my sony)when i try to install it in my new computer(now running windows vista) will not run, giving me a message that this is a software that will run only on a Sony computer, Now, could one of you guys help me with a bios that will identify my computer as a Sony so i can run my software?

Hi again, sorry about the late answer.
But it was a no go, didnt work. actually i broke the bios. (black screen no startup)
But with a crisis recovery disk, I managed to flash it again, first to orignal bios (worked). then again your modded bios (didnt work - froze on bios screen, each time).
Can it be done, you think.
By the way a zepto is in fact the same as compal notebooks
and my Znote 3415W is an fl92 if that helps.

Thank you for all your effort. I've tried all your bios without any luck. I do in fact reinstall asus.xrm-ms each time with SLMGR.VBS -ilc ASUS.XRM-MS and reinstall the key as well.
In trying to load method #2 Winflash gave me "Invalid windows lic in bios- cannot update bios"
The boot loader method works fine but I still desire a firmware solution.

Thank you for all your effort. I've tried all your bios without any luck. I do in fact reinstall asus.xrm-ms each time with SLMGR.VBS -ilc ASUS.XRM-MS and reinstall the key as well.
In trying to load method #2 Winflash gave me "Invalid windows lic in bios- cannot update bios"
The boot loader method works fine but I still desire a firmware solution.

I just flash it 3 weeks ago.
read article from Rebelshaven, stated that bios rev.601 cause several unexplain-able problems.
So Please MOD a new one from new rev or the old trusty rev.514

But for some reason, it just won't work.
I have tried flashing the BIOS in DOS using a bootable flash drive and the command:
PHLASH16 /x /s /mode=3 /BBL AG1A-106.ROM
But the BIOS is not recognized and I get "signature table not found"
I then tried to flash inside Vista Ultimate by doing the following:
A.
1. Double clicked AG1A106.bat.
2. The flashing succeeded. The laptop rebooted but Vista ultimate remains to be activated and remains in 30-day trial mode.
3. Tried to reinstall the Acer certificate and slmgr.vbs -ilc <path>oemcert.xrm-ms commands.
4. No luck.
B.
1. Double clicked the AG1A-106.EXE inside the Alviso folder from the downloaded file made by FZEVEn
2. BIOS flashing proceeded successfully. The laptop rebooted but Vista Ultimate remains to be activated and in 30-day trial mode.
3. Tried to reinstall the Acer certificate and slmgr.vbs -ilc <path>oemcert.xrm-ms commands
4. Again no luck.

1. Placed the modded BIOS AG1-A106.ROM in the Alviso folder.

What I have:
Clean installed Windows Vista with SP1 with Acer certificate present in the $OEM$ folder and the Vista Ultimate Serial in PID.txt - both in the Source Folder of the Vista Installer. Please note that I have made sure that the correct Acer certificate is inside....
Now what Am I missing? Does the Acer certificate only accept Home Premium serial? As far as I know it should also accept the Ultimate serial....
I tried using Everest to check the SLIC file, I also got the same thing as posted here by Mop_Swinger (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=7044&postcount=5598) except for the installed Vista version.

I have tried other versions of this bios from this forum, but i got an error stating i have to load the correct bios file. So now trying one i downloaded through Live Update. Thanks in advance.
I requested this one on march 3, but haven't heard anything since then. Hope you haven't forgotten me????:(:(:(

Sorry, ignore my PM to you.
The last MOD base on Bios Rev..601 made my mobo become weird.
I just flash it 3 weeks ago.
read article from Rebelshaven, stated that bios rev.601 cause several unexplain-able problems.
So Please MOD a new one from new rev or the old trusty rev.514

Please note:
FZeven already modded this BIOS here (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=5544&postcount=4515) and also here (http://www.box.net/shared/h7c065y6o1).
But for some reason, it just won't work.
I have tried flashing the BIOS in DOS using a bootable flash drive and the command:
PHLASH16 /x /s /mode=3 /BBL AG1A-106.ROM
But the BIOS is not recognized and I get "signature table not found"
I then tried to flash inside Vista Ultimate by doing the following:
A.
1. Double clicked AG1A106.bat.
2. The flashing succeeded. The laptop rebooted but Vista ultimate remains to be activated and remains in 30-day trial mode.
3. Tried to reinstall the Acer certificate and slmgr.vbs -ilc <path>oemcert.xrm-ms commands.
4. No luck.
B.
1. Double clicked the AG1A-106.EXE inside the Alviso folder from the downloaded file made by FZEVEn
2. BIOS flashing proceeded successfully. The laptop rebooted but Vista Ultimate remains to be activated and in 30-day trial mode.
3. Tried to reinstall the Acer certificate and slmgr.vbs -ilc <path>oemcert.xrm-ms commands
4. Again no luck.
C.
1. Placed the modded BIOS AG1-A106.ROM in the Alviso folder.
2. Double clicked the AG1A-106.EXE inside the Alviso folder from the downloaded file made by FZEVEn
3. BIOS flashing proceeded successfully. The laptop rebooted but Vista Ultimate remains to be activated and in 30-day trial mode.

What I have:
Clean installed Windows Vista with SP1 with Acer certificate present in the $OEM$ folder and the Vista Ultimate Serial in PID.txt - both in the Source Folder of the Vista Installer. Please note that I have made sure that the correct Acer certificate is inside....
Now what Am I missing? Does the Acer certificate only accept Home Premium serial? As far as I know it should also accept the Ultimate serial....
I tried using Everest to check the SLIC file, I also got the same thing as posted here by Mop_Swinger (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=7044&postcount=5598) except for the installed Vista version.
I appreciate your help. And please no megaupload links for the modded BIOS. Rapidshare, MiHD.net or Box.net is much appreciated. Thank you!! :)

g'day everyone from Sydney, thank you for the 0504 p5k premium SLIC bios however when you try to flash it gives a "back block" error,

I've been trying to follow the instructions I've been able to find to mod this myself, but have been unsuccessful thus far. Could someone give me a hint on what I'm doing wrong, or see if this can be modded?
I load up the bin in modbin6, and then when I open up original.bin in winhex and search for RSDT it says it can't find that string. I know the RSDT table is in there, I checked in everest, it just doesn't have SLIC table. I was attempting to add SLIC table if possible rather than replacing a table.
There was an earlier version (F5) modded for I believe the v1.0 of this board, but mine is v2.0 and F7 bios rev. and I can't downgrade to F5 and still have support for my CPU :mad:
Any help, links to most recent instructions on the mod, tips, or a modded file, would be most appreciated :D

It's okay if you can't mod the toshiba:) I'll try the gigabyte this weekend after upgrading the ram, cross my fingers hope that it'll work as before.
