i´am sorry it don´t work correctly, after a few reboots i become a bios checksum error (bios corrupt) and bios crash recovery flash another bios.
When i flash it, i become also a bad checksum but i can flash it and it works. I become always a bios corrupt with your version when i use Speedfan after a reboot. I hope you can help.

F2 is the version you tried, f3a is a new beta bios, if you like you can try both.

Since you took criticism well, here is something that might help you: Run the program as Administrator or it won't work (Right click and run as Administrator) Then follow the on-screen instructions. This is for adding an Asus slic which is what Fzeven provided for you.

Maybe somebody could do me a favor and try to patch the bios from my Notebook i postet on page 376. I tried it myself and got some errors when opening the file in the Editor. I dont want to risk my notebook just because of no experience or ignoring errors :o

lol...you know its really not that hard to look up and click on 'search this thread' and type in Clevo 57U. You will see that there are several bios made and tested for this notebook.

I already searched for Clevo 57U...there are just 57A and on the homepage where you can get the bios from it seems like they are different.

Yep, even with a forced CMOS BIOS clear, the system hangs when trying to access the BIOS. If I let it go ahead and come on up the system works fine.

addendum: If I flash back to the stock BIOS, everything is fine. When I flash it back to the modded one it still hangs when trying to acess the BIOS screen.

Another person on here tried to mod this BIOS and while it did validate, you could not get into the BIOS. It would just hang when you hit the <del> key.

Could someone else please give it a shot for me? I have been rather unsuccessful in my attempts to MOD it myself.

Another person on here tried to mod this BIOS and while it did validate, you could not get into the BIOS. It would just hang when you hit the <del> key.

Could someone else please give it a shot for me? I have been rather unsuccessful in my attempts to MOD it myself.

You need winphlash.exe program flash (internal flasher). Look inside zip file.

Only a SSV2 mod will work. The compressed size of 1b module and the modified one MUST BE the same after modify!

Mmmm. Did you copy cert file into C:\ ???

Then, did you open command prompt (like MS-DOS Prompt) with admin rights ?

If you can't solve, look first if you have SLIC tables listed into ACPI Section under Everest Ultimate, and then reinstall Windows Vista.

I will reinstall Windows Vista this Friday and report feedback whether it's activated or not. ;)

Overclocking has nothing to deal with modding bioses for activating Vista. Each CPU allows a specific overclock and specific FSB. Have you ever heardt about FSB Wall ???

Yes, SLIC is present in the right way, so you must activate it :D

Windows Vista is reinstalled now. I used the command "slmgr.vbs -ilv C:\asus.xrm-ms" in CMD but I just got the 0x800706BA, which is telling me that the RPC-Server is not available.

With "slmgr.vbs -dlv C:\asus.xrm-ms" I get the message seen in the screenshot.

I rebooted, but Windows is still not activated. Something else to do?:D

I want modd my own BIOS for my Asus Maximus Formula.
Can I use the "AMI_SLIC3 dated 2007-10-1" from this (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=9757&postcount=9) Post?
Does this tool work correctly or should I use a different one?
Are there more current methods?

Important Notes:
Fzeven attempted a mod (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?p=15531#post15531) 1 month ago, but it does not work. According to Yen, HP dv2000t BIOS's have "some code that prevents to map a full table (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?p=5276#post5276)". However, Yen successfully mod with a "shortened the SLIC table and made [into] a pseudo table (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?p=5286#post5286)", which was reported working for his rev F.34 mod.

Maybe the modder (Yen, where are you? :)) can get the shortened SLIC table from Yen's working mod (rev F.34) (http://rapidshare.com/files/41780149/30B2F34_HPSLIC.rar.html) and put it in the new F.39 BIOS?
