Yep! The bioses on the list will work with Win7 & Vista SP1+, and the ones that show "slp=" have a slp 1.0 name added for xp activation as well. Install xp using the correct oembios.* files for the slp name that's in the bios, and use slp product key.

I've flashed the bios with 3 different 1901 roms and every time i try activate it doesn't seem to work. When i run the SLIC_Dump_TooKit it still reports 2.0 in the top right had box.... The bios was updated as i was previously running a 130?? version. Is there something else i should be doing?

this has the HP SLIC2.1, now remember you must use/install a key (you should know the one by now) and install the HP.xrm-ms 2.0 cert.

Got this thing for someone for under $20 at http://www.ascendtech.us/itemdesc.asp?ic=MB64FICC51GSYSK and modded it for the heck of it. Since the board was never meant to be sold by itself there were no bios updates. I backed up the origional and modded it. Please use the included WinFlash and flash it inside Windows (it works fine on Windows 7 if you run it as admin). You MUST flash the boot block as well or you will be able to boot into Windows but not be able to access the bios (reflashed 3 times to figure that out).

3. Use this tutorial (http://gadgetgue.com/2008/12/12/how-to-boot-windows-via-flash-disk-with-dos-system/) to make pure DOS bootable USB stick
4. Extract bios.gz from modded BIOS rar archive and copy it with original BIOS file M6300A12.EXE to your already formatted DOS bootable USB.
5. Boot from USB stick and write command M6300A12 /readgzfile, press "y" and follow instructions until your system reboot.

That is it Now you have flashed BIOS with SLIC 2.1 table

You're right that one was 2.0 SLIC. It's been removed.

I've included the traditional flash utility and the utility to make a bootable flash drive flasher. To use the flash drive tool you must run it on the MSI machine you are going to flash. I made this for my brother and will probably get it tested this weekend. This is for the origional K9A2 Platinum and not the V2. Please let me know if it works if anyone tests it before I do. Well Busykid508 did this a long time ago for me, before windows 7 leak, and i tested and worked perfectly. so i just posted it here for others with gateway computers with this bios. (there are multiple models that will work, according to gateways Supported Computers and Parts for BIOS Version 841P091G)

I downloaded 2 files: G1SAS300_SLIC.ROM and HP.XRM-MS
How to use them to active Win7 Ultimate on my laptop (G1s)
Thanks all
Extract them to the root of your C:\ drive. Reboot your laptop in the usual manner, and press F4 at the POST screen (right after your laptop starts powering on). This will take you into the Asus Easy Flash menu. Locate the new ROM (G1SAS300_SLIC.ROM will be truncated to fit 8.3 naming conventions...) and flash it to your BIOS. Log into Windows 7 and start a command prompt with administrative privileges. Enter the following commands, where *****-*****-*****-*****-***** represents your product key:

cd \
slmgr -ilc HP.XRM-MS
slmgr -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-*****

If all went well, your copy of Windows 7 Ultimate is now activated. You can verify your activation status with any of the following commands:

slmgr -dli
slmgr -dlv
slmgr -xpr
Please be aware that a certain particular product key might turn back into a pumpkin at midnight, so be sure to ask your fairy godmother for a new one in October.

In case somebody needs this, I modified the BIOS and tested it.
I tried the SSv3 method before and it gave me troubles since I have 4GB of RAM but the OEM7 method works fine, especially that the original BIOS doesn't have a SLIC.

After using the BIOS to flash the new BIOS below I had to rest the MB by taking out the battery. It has worked fine since.

The mod with SLIC 2.1 from DELL is successfully flashed on the personal laptop
Win7 It is successfully activated!!!

P.S. For those at whom both Vista and Win7 it is obligatory before an flash of mod with SLIC 2.1 from DELL in Vista apply the certificate from DELL (activation Vista differently will failed) a command

After flashing the BIOS the Gigabit-LOM didn't work. Went back to old BIOS file (modded 1019 with SLIC 2.0) and LOM worked.

Here's the Older Version 1019 Modded, Try that and See if it works for you.
