Wouldnt it be easier to extract all the files from the ISO and use vLite to make a bootable ISO image instead?

Vlite works in XP and Vista.
Just copy the Vista install files to a temp location.
Install vLite (http://www.vlite.net/)
Point vLite to location where Vista Install files are.
Add any tweaks (also allows for putting your Key in now too)
Apply
go to ISO Section
Create ISO and burn to DVD. DVD will be bootable.

cd.image.exe or cdimage.exe? And make sure you can see cdimage.exe when you do directory listing.

mostly the same info as above !
copy DVD contents to C Drive (ie: C:\Vista)
download cdimage.exe from net (sry,link gone)
copy cdimage.exe to current user folder ie:
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator
Vista - C:\Users\Administrator
then use this command line
cdimage -m -u2 -bC:\Vista\boot\etfsboot.com C:\Vista\ C:\Vista.x86.iso
working perfectly
(tested 100x + )

Im using xp, but what I'm not sure about is would I have to type out the full directory? as in "cdimage -m -u2 -bC:\documents and settings\nick.company-40a878a\vista\boot\etfsboot.com" I've tried both ways, with the directory and without and I get basically the same error either way. Either...
Could not open boot sector file "C:\vista\boot\etfsboot.com"
and the other way...
Could not open boot sector file "C:\documents"
I know the file is in that directory "\documents and settings\nick.company-40a878a\vista\boot\etfsboot.com"
I cant seem to get this to work at all, and I've tried the vlite way, but Ive just switched from vista to xp pro and Im having issues loading certain programs.
Any help at all would be appreciated...
Nick
Make it easy for your self copy etfsboot.com file to c:\

hi all
you can do like this........
1.Download file as below-
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=cd6e8b1ecd91e6cdd2db6fb9a8902bda
2.Extract file
you will see 2 files as belows-
cdimage.exe
etfsboot.com
copy them to => C:\
3.I'll assume that your "vista" folder's name is "vista".
copy "vista" => C:\
4.Make ISO File
use command line
Goto Start => Run
Type carefully!!!
cmd
cd \
cdimage -lLRMCFRE_EN_DVD -h -m -u2 -bC:\etfsboot.com C:\Vista\ C:\LRMCFRE_EN_DVD.iso
Wait...and see......
Done!!!:D
