This is a Requirement with Each Mod Request on the Phoenix Mod Request Board.

How To Create An RW Everything Report

Download and Install RWEverything from one of the following links:
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/bin/RwV1.4.zip
http://slics.myftp.org/Tools/RwV1.4.rar

Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this Report to the desktop WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME and either attach this file to your post or upload it to one of the following:
www.box.net or www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com

If you upload your RWEverything Report to one of the 3 host servers above, post the download link of your RWEverthing Report in the Post of your Mod Request.

p.s. BTW for those who don't know how to extract BIOS from Samsung's exes - I've managed to do that by monitoring "C:\Users\$name\AppData\Local\Temp" folder while flashing. Temporary folder "__Samsung_Update" with all necessary files was created there and I had enough time to copy it. Hope it'll help you.

Flash was succesful, after booting my Vista was not activated but after installing oem certificate you provided with modded bios it is now activated :)
SLIC Dump tool reports that SLIC is now 2.1 and everything checks out.

I'd like to be able to help you with the modding, but most of the ones I've seen or looked at in this thread have been ones where the SLIC table is in the BIOSCODn.ROM file instead of an ACPIn.ROM file. Can you give me some pointers on modding those types?

On a semi-related note, on ones that don't have a SLIC table at all, where's a good spot to look to learn to mod them?

TOSHIBA[TOSINVTOSINV00-INV]2.1.BIN should be the easiest, because from what I can tell it uses the same OEMID and OEMTableID that are already used in the BIOS, so there's no RSDT or XSDT editing needed.

Note: In the original BIOS, the OEM Table ID in the RSDT (FTNGROVE) and in the SLIC (TOSINV00) don't match, but Vista still activates without any problems!

Lucky for you I have the same laptop (v3015NR/AMD CPU), and just succeeded with activation this morning.

You may get a checksum error at boot, but you can just continue past it and that is the only way the checksum will match up for activation.

No one is going to touch the Sony with a 10 foot pole! Even Master Yen has not been successfully in modifying a Sony bios. Not totally unexpected from a company that will install a rootkit on your computer for playing their music CD.

Well like I said I have it working, OEM-pre-activated with windows 7 and put my modded BIOS through an extensive amount of hours of building, and testing on the presario v3000 hardware - so I'm confident that it won't brick anybody's laptop.

Flash on dos only, Do not on windows. Trust me and Try again.



As I recommend you to flash on DOS, I recommend you to use phlash16.exe version 1.7.0.0 to flash your bios.

Things you should remember about flashing on DOS is.
1. Just make a bootable usb flashdrive/floppy.
2. Use PHLASH16 version 1.7.0.0 .
3. Copy your modded BIOS to the usb.
4. You may manually run phash16 or create the autoexec.bat to do your job. With this code.

5. Just boot up your laptop from USB. Not the crisis recovery process. I mean don't press and hold your win+b, just boot from your USB.

first you have to get usb floby drive
then
download this rar

find
wincris.exe
then run it
after that open the floppy and you will find bios.wph replace it with yours but you have to rename your bios to bios.wph
remove the battery of your laptop
connect the floppy to usb
plug the electricity wire
pres win-key and b
start the laptop
you will hear the floppy drive working leave every thing for 10 minet after that your laptop should shut down
but back the battery and that's it:cool:

Well like I said I have it working, OEM-pre-activated with windows 7 and put my modded BIOS through an extensive amount of hours of building, and testing on the presario v3000 hardware - so I'm confident that it won't brick anybody's laptop.

Thanks dviper785 your bios mod works great on mi Presario V3217la, it should work on the v3000-v3400 series because they have the same motherboard only some minor changes (Ram CPU HD) between each model.

I've tried to mod it myself, but uncertain about some files. My ACPI07.ROM does not contain a SLIC file. But the RSDT and XSDT in my BIOSCOD01.ROM point to values in ACPI07.ROM. The SLIC is in ACPI08.ROM but it seems like it's not being used. Should I change the values in BIOSCOD01.ROM then replace ACPI07.ROM with any 2.1 SLIC, or should I leave ACPI07.ROM alone, but replace ACPI08.ROM with the 2.1 SLIC file?

Be patient, haven't you seen how many requests there are? I'm also waiting and so are the majority of others, give it some time, the modders are doing this for free in their spare time, rushing them won't help anyone, it might annoy modders, or make them do the mod too quickly leading to problems, just relax and let them do their thing, re-arm your win7 if needed.

it's pretty hard to do this one in a neat way, since there is no BenQ 2.1 slic yet and we need to find a 2.1 SLIC whose pubkey compresses to the exact same size as the BenQ one does (0xf3). ( because we cant alter the pubkey , and it is stored in the bios rom using lzint compression :( ) i will try though.

edit: none of the currently available 2.1 SLICS which have proper certs available to go with them has a pubkey which compresses to a 243 byte module im afraid :S i would wait until more slics are released (ideally the BenQ, assuming the pubkey remains unchanged)

Lucky for you I have the same laptop (v3015NR/AMD CPU), and just succeeded with activation this morning.

You may get a checksum error at boot, but you can just continue past it and that is the only way the checksum will match up for activation.

Conscious of so many requests, I've searched hi and lo for this bios with just the SLIC 2 integrated, if someone could share that I'd look into modding with 2.1. I just don't have the skills or knowledge to completely embed when it wasn't there in the first place.

I did see a modded bios on the forum but the link was dead. Any help really appreciated.
