Thanks... that was fast!!

Unfortunately when I ran FlashAid with the modded .ROM file that you made it returned an error: "The specified BIOS data file is corrupt or is a format that cannot be used by this program. Please specify the correct BIOS data file for this model." I don't get this error with the original .ROM file....

Maybe the BIOSHeader.ini needs to be updated also?

Also there was no files in the Cert directory in the .rar?

Thanks,
Tim

I think the Winflash is not the best for this..Let me upload you another pack with phlash to use from DOS..

EDIT:

This package has the cert and phlash17 for dos. There are instructions in the folders..

Thanks.. where should I get phlash? Is it safe to use on Fujitsu systems? Do I have to boot into DOS or can I run from a Vista command prompt?

Thanks again!

Requesting a mod for SLIC2.1 for HP for my HP Laptop V6219TU.

The BIOS can be downloaded here (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42001-42500/sp42187.exe)

The BIOS is in WPH format and is a Phoenix BIOS.

It already has SLIC2.0 for HP and Vista is activated and runs fine on it. Now I want to install Windows 7 and need the 2.1 SLIC for it.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the phlash version.

So I downloaded, renamed the BIOSData.ROM to BIOS.ROM, copied the files to a small FAT32 partition on my HD, rebooted in DOS from a floppy and ran "PH161700.EXE BIOS.ROM /O /Force /X /C /S" and got the following when I ran it:

Phoenix Phlash16 Error
Invalid FlashInt.Bin !

PRESS ANY KEY TO EXIT

Any suggestions? I'm not sure what to do next...

Thanks again,
Mark

Busykid508,

Any chance you could upload this to a different file host?

slics.myftp.org isn't available...

Thanks!

Just for your information, this was modified with ACER SLIC 2.1 right from the beginning....

Your caution with messages of warning will probably prevent you from flashing your bios even with this new modified slic which I am providing in the download link below.

So, I feel that I am wasting my time here with your particular case but here it is for you and so, my question is, What are you going to do with it?

-Manufacturer: ACER

You need to pay attention to the rules....the rules say that you are to provide an RW Everything report and you did not and so, you have not.....

Please follow directions below

First and FOREMOST - DO NOT RENAME THIS FILE AT ALL - When it saves it will save to a DEFAULT NAME. LEAVE THAT NAME ALONE and DO NOT TOUCH IT or CHANGE THE NAME. If you do rename the file, I will put you on the backburner or at the end of the line for your request.

Download and Install RWEverything from one of the following links:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/g8iy0e
http://slics.myftp.org//RwV1.3.zip

Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this to the desktop and upload it to one of the following:
www.box.net or www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com

Then send the link to us or attach the file to your post.

Here is the order of which you MUST FOLLOW:

Place HP Certificate in C-DRIVE by itself and NOT in any folder.

Go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT - Right click on COMMAND PROMPT and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR

When command prompt opens, type: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\hp.xrm-ms <ENTER>

Wait for the host to come back with a message saying that it was successful.

After the SUCCESS MESSAGE returns, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx <ENTER> - Wait for host to come back with message saying the Product Key was SUCCESSFULLY installed and then reboot the computer.

-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Fujitsu T1010

-Bios Link : http://www.fujitsupc.com/downloads/mobile/fjbios/T1010_BIOS_V1.12_FPC46-1563-06.exe

My BIOS ACPI Tables are attached to this message.

Note that the above Fujitsu BIOS is in the form of an .exe (FlashAid 4.2) that will ONLY run on the T1010 laptop... so it is a bitch to extract the ROM file. So I did this for you...I ran the program and then zipped up the temp folder that is created when the .exe runs. This folder includes the BIOS_Data.ROM file (and also a BIOSHeader.ini file?).
It is uploaded here ("FlashAid40 output with .ROM BIOS file.zip"):

Are you blind as bat...there is a fokler that is named: Modified Bios and Original Bios and Utlities

Inside that folder is another folder named MODIFIED BIOS. Inside that folder is the .WPH file...what is wrong with you?

I just looked at your RW Everything Report and you have successfully flashed your bios with HP SLIC 2.1...

Give me the last 5 digits of the OEM SLP Product Key that you are using to activate windows...and are you trying to activate windows Vista or Windows 7?

This does not remove all the cracks. What a loader does to windows is install certain files that turn and RTM version into a RC version and it screws up windows for you.

The only way to properly fix this is to format the hard drive and reinstall windows 7.

I know that is a pain in the ass but that is the only true way to fix this problem...

I found the .ROM file for you motherboard...download it and try to flash bios using the method outline below in DOS - Also, try renaming the long executable file T1010_BIOS_V1.12_FPC46-1563-06_SLIC.EXE to T1010.exe and see if that will work.

Hi again,

I tried both suggestions, but neither worked. :(

Renaming the .exe and running as administrator did not fix the error (and the official/original .exe works fine), and running ph161700 /x /force /mode=3 SNCV112.ROM from DOS still resulted in "Phoenix Phlash16 error Invalid FlashInt.Bin !" error that I got before.

Unless you have a different idea maybe we should just give up?
Do you have a suggestion for which soft cr**k works best? Does 7Loader work good?

Thanks for the help....

Any way. I will post it in award topic. tnx

What it shows is that Phoenix is the creator of the bios but Phoenix makes 3 different kind of bios - Award, AMI and Phoenix....

So what you saw was the creator of the Award Bios which belongs to all gigabyte bios.

Did you run the .exe file in Administrative Mode? - RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

As I mentioned above:

Renaming the .exe and running as administrator did not fix the error (and the official/original .exe works fine),

So yes, I tried that...

I guess this isn't going to work. Do you have any suggestions for a soft bootloader to use?

There is WOW that might work for you....just use the search engine to find WOW 7 or higher....WOW 6 is for Vista...

Talk to Yen. I havent followed the steps you took after BK took over the mod. It may be a switch you are missing, or a simple addition to the bios ID..

The BIOS can be downloaded here (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42001-42500/sp42187.exe)

The BIOS is in WPH format and is a Phoenix BIOS.

It already has SLIC2.0 for HP and Vista is activated and runs fine on it. Now I want to install Windows 7 and need the 2.1 SLIC for it.

You know the rules....this is not your first time here...so, why are you not providing the following?

Hi. I'm very sorry about that, but this is only a question not a request. I don't want to make double request and steal your time. Sorry about that. I will send a request soon and hope you can help me. Thank you in advance.

Please read the rules....we need this below before we can modify the bios

Then send the link to us or attach the file to your post.

ok, i'll do that, but first i would like to ask u if this software runs on 64bit windows because i currently run Windows 7 x64.
and sorry for not posting the correct files but i hadn't read the rules cause i thought it was the same like award bios.

Thanks Busykid508 for the advice

You did the very thing that I asked you not to do...DO NOT RENAME THIS DAMN FILE...it screws up the report...this is an .RW format and not NOTEPAD and when you rename the file instead of using its default name, it messes with the parts that I need.

So, back to the end of the line for you....

To realise a Phoenix mod still takes time. You have to be patient, it may take several days.

@Modders: You have to be familiar with the 'Lenovo' process. A mod made by PBE and rebuilt by PBE may brick the Notebook.
Please don't provide a mod that was rebuilt with PBE! Thanks!!!!

I hear what you are saying about your computer being bricked but below illustrates what a person faces when they see your particular bios.

The top picture of what a mod must look for and must fill in the holes with the new SLIC v2.1.

The second or bottom picture is the results of modification and it shows that the Header, Pubkey and Marker are all covered by an approporate SLIC 2.1 of Toshiba

There is no way to do that to a bios without causing more harm to your com0puter....in the download, there is a crisdisk of how to use a Pen Drive to create a Phoenix Bios Rescue Disk...have you followed instructions in that folder?

PLEASE READ THE RULES....the rules say YOU MUST PROVIDE AN RW EVERYTHING REPORT - If I don't get an RW Everything Report, you do not get a mod...it is that simple.

Busykid508, here is my re-post of my request, along with the RW report as requested by you.

The bios comes with Acer SLIC 2.0 for Vista so I guess it just needs to be swapped for 2.1?

Here is the info:

Bios Link: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/travelmate_4200/vista/BIOS/BIOS.zip

And you did the very thing that I put in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS for you to NOT DO - DO NOT RENAME THIS RW EVERYTHING REPORT - SAVE IT TO ITS DEFAULT NAME.

This mistake would have delayed your mod -

However, you are lucky for I happen to have your bios modified on a previous occassion and proven to have worked. But from now on if you submit another Phoenix Bios Mod Request, submit an RW Everything Report and DO NOT RENAME THIS FILE.

Below is your bios and motherboard though the name is different than your computer.

Busykid508, here is my re-post of my request, along with the RW report as requested by you.

The bios comes with Acer SLIC 2.0 for Vista so I guess it just needs to be swapped for 2.1?

Here is the info:

Notebook: Acer TravelMate 4202wlmi
BIOS Company: Phoenix
Bios Version: 3.10
Bios Link: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/travelmate_4200/vista/BIOS/BIOS.zip
Bios already contains Acer SLIC 2.0 and Acer SLP
Requesting Acer SLIC 2.1 for Windows 7
I am attaching the RW report for you in zip format, I did not rename anything.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!!

First, you most likely are in the wrong forum because you have a Dell Dimension computer which contains a DELL Phoenix Bios which cannot be modified here....

Second, we are not able to unzip the bios file....

But the second point is moot since your bios falls in a special category...please use the search engines to find DELL Mod Requests and place your request there.

And YOU FORGOT ONE VERY IMPORTANT PIECE - WHERE IS MY RW EVERYTHING REPORT WHICH IS REQUIRED BEFORE YOU GET A MOD.....AND YOUR BIOS IS NOT INSYDE BUT PHOENIX

You must provide an RW everything report...that is required

Before You Post Your Mod Request, You MUST Do the Following Below Or Else You Will Not Receive Your Mod.

HOW TO CREATE AN RW EVERYTHING REPORT:

First and FOREMOST - DO NOT RENAME THIS FILE AT ALL - When it saves it will save to a DEFAULT NAME. LEAVE THAT NAME ALONE and DO NOT TOUCH IT or CHANGE THE NAME. If you do rename the file, I will put you on the backburner or at the end of the line for your request.

Download and Install RWEverything from one of the following links:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/q8g7ga
http://slics.myftp.org//RwV1.3.zip

Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this Report to the desktop WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME and either attach this file to your post or upload it to one of the following:
www.box.net or www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com

If you upload your RWEverything Report to one of the 3 host servers above, post the download link to your RWEverthing Report in the Post of your Mod Request.

Below is the preferred method in which to post your mod requests:

-Manufacturer:
-Motherboard Model:
-Bios revision:
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS
-Bios Download Link:
-RW Everything Report Download Link:
