I figured I would add a new thread to this section.
So far since VMware server version 1, I have always been using a slp/slic modded bios rom to meet my needs for activation. But since Version 2 came out, all my images work if I keep them at version4. But if I create a x64 image, I have no choice but to use the updated version 7 image that is created by default .
Now if I add in this line >> bios440.filename = "VMWAREBIOS_SLIC.ROM" to the vmx file for a version 7 image. The virtual machine will not post or boot until I remove that line from the vmx. From reading other threads on in this forum, Has VMware server changed the way the bios is loaded just like Workstation version ?
thanks Moto
