Vista Event 4226 patch

In uTorrent on Win XP Event 4226 patched I was getting 1 MB/s d/l quite regularly. Now I'm lucky to get 200 KB/s!

I can't seem to get the Yaronmaor patch to work.

When I run InstallPatch32.bat I get:

"Confirm to apply? (press Ctrl-C and answer Y to terminate)
Press any key to continue..."

So what am I supposed to do?

:confused: Well there's a big disappointment! In 24 hours, 57 views but not a single reply to my post.

Based on this and discussions in the uT forum there is no doubt that there is a MAJOR BUG in running torrents under Vista....

......of course it could well be deliberate.:confused:

What I know for certain is that if I go back to uT 1.6 and XP I will get a guaranteed 500% improvement.

If you have windows xp when you run the patch you want C for change the limit Then you will have to enter the amount of half open connections you want, the most you will ever need is 100 but I would recommend 50. after that it says are you sure? choose Y for yes. Then a system prompt will apear and say somthing like a file has been changed I cant remeber exactly what it says but you want to keep the file changed so just read it. It is very simple just read what it says and you will be ok. Go to lvlords site>>>> http://www.lvllord.de/ to download the patch!!! Sorry if I dont have more detailed info I havent a copy of xp on any of my computers all are vista now.

Luvpeaceguru, you need to run the batch file as administrator. Right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
