I have an Intel CPU PC, which I put together and then I purchased an OEM version of MCE2005, which I installed and subsequently registered over the Internet.

Now I am thinking of taking this PC and going ahead with the Vista SLIC mod (i.e. download a modded BIOS and reflash the BIOS)

I will install Vista using either a dual-OS boot technique, or possibly with VISTA on another hard drive

Will this BIOS flashing effect the licence status of the currently installed XP MCE2005 version?

Thanks
Jeff

Since your xp is registered over Internet, your xp licence will remain.(no marker in bios). Anyway, to insert SLIC does not affect xp slp1.0 marker.
Some preinstalled oem xp have got a marker (slp 1.0) in bios. They donīt need to be activated via internet.

A save way is to upload your current used bios and request to mod.
