View Full Version : The "Save as" Problem in IE 7.0

In IE 7.0 and VISTA OS when I try to save a webpage as a file I get the message “The webpage could not be saved to the selected location”.
The only way the “Save as” task to be achieved is to clear the “Enable Protected Mode” check box in Security tab of Internet Properties. However this action sets the computer at risk.
The same problem happens when I try to export “Favorites” too. In this case the message I get is "Unable to export favorites".
The above problems do not exist in IE 7.0 and XP OS.

Is there any ideas what can I do?

Have you try to change the Save as Type? Such as to 'Web Page, complete (*.htm,*.html)'?

Another possible cause may also be that the web page contains a link to a stylesheet which resides on a different server or domain than the one where the page is located, causing page failed to save.

Yes I have but there is no deference.

In IE 7.0 and XP OS there is no problem.

For the same pages in IE 7.0 and XP OS there is no problem.
