Does anyone have a working guide and can provide download links to files used in order to change the bios in VMware Fusion 3.0?
I tried everything posted in the Guide for VMware Fusion 2 SLIC Hack (MacOS)
but nothing worked for me. I'm sure I'm not the only one and I have no ideas after what I tried.

That is what I tried. The bios hangs halfway through boot up on the new installed win7 machine. All my old machines work, vista and xp. I think its the rom I'm using.
Anyone get this combo working:
Fusion 3
Win 7
Thanks

Get this file:

Extract BIOS rom & do the same as above to see if helps.
Or even easier, get the file from this thread:

there is modded .rom included in the archive, IT WORKS

Thanks Sebus!
I downloaded the second link you posted and used the enclosed bios440.slic.rom file. It worked perfect! For anyone else having trouble this is what I did:
Install Fusion 3.
Use Keygen for serial
Install Win7 OEM from iso.
You do not need to enter a product key, just bypass the step when it asks for one
Close Fusion
In finder locate the VMware virtual machine
Right click, Show package contents
Right click on Windows 7 x64.vmx or what ever the .vmx file is and open with textEdit. Add line:
bios440.filename = "bios440.slic.rom"
save and close.
Copy bios440.slic.rom file into the open container.
Close container.
Start Win7 virtual machine.
Open OpaTool in Win 7
Run tool option 2 and 3
Then check with option 1
Done.

Good to know, so it seems that there is some difference in the BIOS between Windows 6.5.1 version & ESX4/Fusion3 at least

Awesome. Thanks guys. Works perfectly. I didn't use the OpaTool instead I manually installed the Cert and Key. Result still the same... :)

How can I install SL in win 7. I have Vmware 7 Workstation installed. I looked in google but all i get is a very complicated process which recquires a lot of modding and what not.
