Alright, here is the problem. Bios update was flashing from an HP update, computer froze, restarted, then the infamous BIOS rom checksum error. What I need from someone is either advice of what to do next, or have someone extract the .rom/.bin file from this download http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&softwareitem=pv-49208-1&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN.
You need vista to do anything with the file, and to extract the BIOS use winrar, winzip, winace, or whatever archiver. DO NOT EXECUTE THE FILE. And if you need more information, please ask.
